Query re Mycophenolate
I would be very interested to hear from any of you folks here on the forum if you have been treated with
Mycophenolate
for PMR/GCA? If so did it work in weaning you off prednisoline or reduce to an "acceptable" level?

Mycophenolate mofetil, poss side effects.
I am a bit anxious and they have prescribed
mycophenolate
mofetil and just wondered if anyone can let me know how they reacted to this drug. I also have an ileostomy due to ulcerative colitis but generally feel quite well. Thanks. Debbie

CRT results
I have my bloods done every 2 months as I'm on Hydroxychloroquine and
Mycophenolate
. My CRT is about 14...so high. Does this just indicate inflammation or could it be that I've been a bit under the weather with a cough, lack of appetite etc.

Men with Lupus and children
My husband and I are considering having children and this means him changing medication from
Mycophenolate
. He was only diagnosed last year in April after a month in hospital but now down to 2mg pred and no flares. Such a dilemma knowing whether it's the right thing to do.

UPDATE
Had a pelvic x-ray because of pain in hips and groin, oh and she decided I need to take another tablet ( hydroxychloroquine 200mg once a day) Silly me thought it was going to be instead of the
mycophenolate
but hey, no, its as well as. Oh and then I was blessed with a steroid injection too!!

Just seen lupus specialist prescribed new tablets
The specialist has prescribed me
Mycophenolate
mofetil tablets to take as well as Hydrox and steroid. I also had a high dose steroid injections. May I ask if anyone else has or are having this mix of treatment and if it helped?

Feeling confused and very down
I take Hydroxychloroquine,
Mycophenolate
and Amitriptylene (neuropathy) I am 73 and have MCTD. The other question I'd like to ask is how often on average do you 'bother' your GP ? My Rheumatologist isn't local so my GP is my joint carer. This is a bit of a a ramble so forgive me if it's muddled.

Side effects of Ibuprofen and mycophenolate.
I have Granulomatosis And have just had a nasty experience from taking
mycophenolate
. The lastime I had a similar experience was when I was prescribed Ibuprofen for joint pains ten years ago. They both have phenol in their chemical acids. If this is significant I wish I had known in January.

Mixed connective tissue disease
Today I feel the same + pain in my parotid glands and Flu like exhaustion (temperature sub normal) I take HCQ and
Mycophenolate
plus Amitriptylene. Do you think it's just a flare. I'm sure it is but wonder why this has happened.

Tenderness behind fingertips in soft tissue
I'm on sildenafil and
mycophenolate
. I work out of doors and inevitably despite my best efforts with assorted gloves, there are times when my fingers do get cold. I do use my finger tips to 'grab' things a lot and pick things up but always have gloves on.

Primary aortitis
I have been on prednisolone, which I am currently tapering down, because I am now taking
mycophenolate
. My crp levels have come down dramatically but not normal yet. They are fluctuating between 15-19. Noone can tell me why they havnt returned to normal.

I have been on MMF 3g a day for a few months now. Started 1g a day in July and increased. I was given Myfenax 500mg film coated tablets until the beginning of December, but when I put my prescription in for Christmas and New Year tablets, I have been given Accord and also Actavis. I may not get any

I am curious, how many of you have a diagnosis of SLE but have never had organ involvement? And how many of you have been diagnosed with ..
This all led to me now being on 3g a day of MMF (
mycophenolate
mofetil) a day (from July 2016 onwards), as well as the 2 x 200mg of hydroxychloroquine. My lupus effects my skin, hair, nails in various ways.
