Buprenorphine and Medicare Part D
I’ve been on Buprenorphine SL, .5 mg for the past year with excellent results. I had some issues with coverage from the Pharmacy initially, but got that cleared up. I recently retired and now have Medicare, medigap and Part D coverage. I had to go through an appeal process because of it’s off license

low in iron and B12
found out I’m low in iron and I’ve got pernicious anemia. From my understanding having regular B12 injections has lowered my iron and ferritin. Should I put B12 on hold and increase my iron and ferritin? But when I don’t have regular B12 I feel the side effects. I’m taking heme iron once a day.

Hi, I've just managed to get my GP to take a full iron blood test and the results are as follows, are these ok or do I need to take iron supplements. Sorry I have no idea what any of these mean and the GP has said they are all normal! Serum Ferriin: 142.8 ug/L Transferrin Saturation index 32%

Very fast pulse that I do not understand. Help!
I have somewhat neglected my hypothyroidism over the last couple of years to concentrate on my more recently diagnosed Pernicious Anaemia, Bile acid malabsorption and atrophic gastritis. I have been taking 100mcg Levothyroxine and 125mcg Levothyroxine alternating each day and that has seemed pretty

Blood results
Blood results from the local NHS neurologist say: “Iron level 22 falls within normal range” Is this ferritin?! This was after 2 weeks of being on ferrous fumarate and it was 24! 🙄🙄🙄 I know the levels should be over 100 at least as per Mayo. 😡 Transferrin Saturations 26% Transferrin level 3.4

Banging my head against a brick wall
ferritin is only 8 still (5-204) HB is 124(115-160) I believe you can have iron deficiency without anaemia but GP, consultant , won’t have it. As said before, can’t tolerate any oral iron and because my HB is in range I’m not a candidate for ferritin infusion although have had one when ferritin was

Question About Iron Supplement
Has anyone tried a transdermal iron patch and does it raise your levels at all? I have been taking the supplements which have helped tremendously, until they started messing up my gastrointestinal system, and that was with the timed release, gentle iron and the sublingual iron as well. Recommended iron levels
With regard to iron, there is really only one correct way to test a patient's four iron levels. This information is from The Johns Hopkins University & Medical Center in Maryland, USA. Listed below are the four iron parameters, the "normal" limits for men and women, and the recommended levels for RLS

iron suggestions please
Would be grateful for recommendations for iron supplement for my daughter. She is vegan and her ferritin is on the low side. In fact her vitamins are all rubbish but I’ve got everything else covered. Something gentle would be preferred. thanks in anticipation 🥰🥰
