Pain around belly button (7 weeks post lap)
I’m on what I think is my second period since my lap ( had a
mirena
inserted at the same time) I spotted for 2 weeks around the time my first was due and the spotting started again when my next one would be due.

Mirena fitted today
I asked the surgeon when i csme round and she gave me some progestin pills to tide me over until
mirena
was fitted. It's in now but my God it was an awful excruciating experience this morning This is my 4th coil but the only one that's made me bleed a lot after fitting.

Constant exhaustion, headaches and colds
I have an appointment in a month and was debating asking to go on another pill but I think I've exhausted all my options and the next step was the
mirena
which I am firmly against. Could these be causing these side effects 7 months down the line?

Day 3 following lap - diagnosis of endo and interstitial cystitis
I've had a
mirena
coil put in which we are hoping will help my symptoms in the meantime. My gyne said it's all about a quality of life and if nothing improves there are many treatments available we can try.

Focal Adenomyosis or Uterine Fibroid or both?!?!
Then last Friday I had a Laparoscopy to determine if I also had endometriosis and the surgeon inserted a
Mirena
Coil to help with the pain from the Adenomyosis.

I need help...
After he calmed me down, he told me about the
Mirena
and said to research it as it could be an option. After researching - I can see that the side effects are the same as some of the oral pills I had taken in the past 11 years which didn't work. How can he be sure that this will work??

Doctor refused morphine and laughed at me!
Since the
mirena
I have had bad nausea, she said it would just be due to constipation from so many painkillers and said there was nothing she could do. She refused to take out my
mirena
and has in addition given me birth control pills.

How quickly does it come back...
Initially I had the implant however that was affecting my mood and had constant bleeding so I decided to come off it and try the
mirena
coil. It was horrible getting it fitted, possibly because I also have a unicornuate uterus so my uterus is only half the size it should be.

Extremely painful bowel movement.
After a horrendous summer when I ended up in hospital with severe stomach pains and no one could work it out despite having cameras having a good look I was eventually diagnosed with Endometriosis. GP and myself agreed to have a marina coil inserted and to start HRt patches which have helped periods

First lap nerves
I am also having the
mirena
coil fitted which I am nervous about. I recently came off of the implant 2 months ago that caused me hell for 5 years and was also on a pill running alongside. I’m scared this will cause me the same hell.

Tummy tender to touch
I had my second lap in early July and had over 25 patches of endo burnt out and a
mirena
fitted. It took 3.5 months for the
mirena
to settle and my body to stop trying to give birth to it but all ok now. Generally the pain is ok but is very different than before the lap.

Hysteroscopy but no biopsy
I'm 47, I was told ten years ago that I had a thickened womb lining and I have always had to have the
mIrena
coil as without it (I've tried twice) I just flood every two to three days.

Mood Swings with Mirena Coil
Hi all, recently I’ve been experiencing some really bad anxiety and mood swings, I was wondering whether anyone else has had experienced this after having the
mirena
coil? I had it fitted in June but this has been happening more recently, roughly started a couple of months ago.

Excercise & Endo
I also had the
Mirena
coil fitted at the same time as the lap. I have been keeping a log and basically whenever I do excercise or have a busy day, I experience bad pain (back, pelvis and legs). Does anyone else have this? If so did it get better or am I stuck with this now?

New to PCOS
My hormone levels have always been normal and my pain has been managed by the
mirena
coil for the past 5 years (due to come out this month). I’ve never had an issue with acne or excess hair but I do struggle with my weight.
