Prednisolone/Mental Health
I do have existing mental health conditions (depression and ADHD) but they're well-controlled the rest of the time (on escitalopram and
methylphenidate
) and I haven't really struggled with them for a few years now.

Zoloft for 7 yr old
First, it was a huge struggle for me to put my son on medication after his trials of
methylphenidate
and Adderall did not help his meltdowns at all. I finally was able to find a board certified clinical psychiatrist who honed in on his anxiety and suggested either Prozac or Zoloft.

Medication Regulation
I am currently taking a low dosage of Ritalin (
Methylphenidate
) 10mg for my ADHD along with an anti-depressant. I have the Inattentive ADHD, I struggle mainly with all of the executive functioning. What I have been struggling with is knowing how to evaluate if I need a higher dosage?

Stimulants for ADT fatigue?
Has anyone tried Ritalin (
methylphenidate
) or some similar stimulant for ADT fatigue? Doing some research last night, I found another bulletin board where TALL ALLEN referenced 7 years ago the 1st article listed below, by Richard et al, on the use of Ritalin for ADT fatigue.

ADHD medication questions
I was wondering if anyone can tell me what feeling you get from
methylphenidate
? My husband started these meds 12/31 and has increased it every month since. He has had past addictions and currently battling the last one.

Pine bark extract supplement?
Just had a bad experience with Aderol after
methylphenidate
messed with my son’s sleep so I’m not really into this expensive trial & error method of drug experimentation. Of course supplements are expensive as well but I guess I feel less guilty about them.

ADHD update
My
methylphenidate
aka Concerta. That’s the brand I take. It’s working, though the side effect of suppressed appetite is apparent. I’m at a healthy weight and the doctor and I agreed to watch it. My anxieties are still there and I can get wrapped up in my head, but I’m better at handling it.

Bupropion - has anyone had success on this for ADHD?
After failed trials on
methylphenidate
(worked wonders for three months, now my tolerance is insanely high), Vyvanse and Atomoxetine, my doctor is now seeing how I fare on bupropion/Wellbutrin.

Has anyone tried Provasil or citicoline as a supplement to ADD med, or alone? Reading how Provasil helps brain function. Citicoline too.
Saw mr Dr. last week and switched to
methylphenidate
IR. Told her I think extended release might have been the cause for the muscle pain. I'm on my 2nd. day. Started with 10mg twice a day yesterday. Today I did 20mg. Think I'll skip second dose today to see what effects I might get.

do extended release stimulants cause more muscle issues than immediate release?
Tried
methylphenidate
ER, Adderall ER and Vyvanse. All gave me severe muscle pain in neck and shoulders. Wondering if its because of the extended release element.

Refusing medication
My 8 year old daughter started taking medication just before she turned 7 for ADHD combined type and after she got on a
methylphenidate
capsule we could mix into applesauce or yogurt, she mostly took it without problem for most of last school year.

What do I do with my new provider taking the medication that saved my life? plus him treating me as if I were worthless..
The
methylphenidate
helped a good 40%. Enough to get me out of it and start working on things. But without it, I am scared. And he made me feel worthless, subhuman, hopeless for my medications and my diagnosis. It was an hour of this.
