Meditation
I keep hearing about the benefits of
meditation
. I've been trying it and I get nothing. I did it pretty consistently during the pandemic. I don't see anything from it. I just feel bored and like I'm wasting 10-20 minutes that I could have spent doing anything else.

Lost faith in the medical profession. Bacterial meningitis.
Ive been into
meditation
for many years and have tried to do this but have been fairly unsuccessful although I keep trying. Ive been trying to walk a little each day to get some fresh air and a little exercise but this exhausts me. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

A thought
Mindfulness is based on eastern practises like acceptance, zen,
meditation
. When i was doing yoga, the teacher was like "now that you're all tangled up, say some mantras like aum, om, Elsa like Let it go, F*ck it" and that's the only time my brain doesn't feel like fried spaghetti.

Help with labs - thyroid OK? but anemic and ???
Depression. bad sleep and during afternoon

I seem to pass-out for 10-20 minutes, which not normal for me (normal would be taking a nap, and getting the sleep under control with the assorted strategies i normally use.

- I close my eyes, listening to ocean sounds, picture laying on the sand with the top of my head toward the ocean and wait for the waves to rush inside, clearing out all the junk. Deep breathing… in as the wave come in and breathe out as the wave retreats…

effects of ECT
It was traumatic for my partner and parents but it did work alongside the psychotherapy & development of habits such as

. Our local health service no longer offers ECT at all, Probably a cost saving.

Hearing voices
I do
meditation
at times,but some nights are impossible. I have been able to attend work anyway, and going to work seems to help. There are family issues,my parents don't seem to like my partner,they did at the beginning,they do ring me a lot, and generally make life more difficult.

Post concussion syndrome
I started doing
meditation
for the first time on a daily basis after being recommended it and found it to be invaluable. For me it feels like this had the most positive effect, especially when I felt anxious, skittish or could tell I was going back into a slump.

how do you all cope?
I am trying to get into mindfulness and

which I don’t actually know if it is helping. I am relying on, medication, heat patches, caffeine, salt baths, heat cream and weighted blankets.

🙂 It would include many great activities such as outdoor dining, swimming, some light breath work,

, QiGong, light Yoga, board games, bonfires (with s’mores!!), water activities watching sun sets/sun rises, story telling/sharing and much more! Finally an eco summer camp for adults!

Thoughts, day 5 on Vyvanse; day 10 after being diagnosed
n -Light and the world seemed a bit muted, not as vibrant, but it was easier to focus (I have been doing mindful
