First time breast cancer patient
Two weeks ago, I had a simple
mastectomy
for Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (non-invasive). I am relieved that they got all of it, but still dealing with a drainage bulb and moderate pain from an infection. Although I've had surgeries before, dealing with cancer is new to me.

pain from underarm incision
Three weeks ago I had a partial
mastectomy
, oncoplastic surgery to reconstruct that breast and lymph node removal. I'm experiencing a fair amount of pain in the underarm incision. Also experiencing a sort of zapping pain in the breast, which people say is nerve regeneration (?).

Mammogram with MBC
I’m 46 and had a
mastectomy
on my right side 7 years ago. The cancer returned in November. I wasn’t happy with the vague answer from my doctor.

Ovarian cystectomy laparoscopy missing cyst wrong side?
Just had a laparoscopy to remove a 3cm ovarian dermoid cyst. But when I came round the nurse said they didn't find the cyst.... The incision is on the wrong side of my pelvis. Could they have looked on the wrong side? Were 2 ultrasound scans wrong? Can dermoid cyst disappear? I've been having dreadful

Oncology appointment went well- decision will most likely be follow up with ultrasounds no ovaries will be removed for now.
I had my oncology appt this past wednesday. For background I had an ovarian wedge resection in July and the pathology showed serous borderline cells on my left ovary. I was referred to oncologist. I had my oncologist app in Houston Tx on Wednesday and was highly recommended here. I met the Doc and we

Please help me understand my pathology report
Therefore I underwent a total
mastectomy
and axillary clearance on 15 June. My
mastectomy
biopsy report has just come and it states that "there is no evidence of residual tumor in the present
mastectomy
specimen".

I had a
mastectomy
followed by 24 sessions of Radiotherapy . I was then prescribed hormone blockers Arimidex to prevent its return . I felt achy and weak with really bad joint pain and some bowel problems so at my last oncology appointment the oncologist ordered a scan.

Hello, I'm new.
My first go round was 2013 -I had a right
mastectomy
(18-21 nodes removed) and T + C chemo. Stacked DIEP flap reconstruction. I couldn't tolerate hormonal therapy then so I just did chemo. Bone mets appeared last April-big tumor in my right femur. Smaller one on the left.

The lumpectomy didn't have clear margins so I have had a
mastectomy
and DIEP reconstruction and I am taking Tamoxifen. I am happily married, with two brilliant teenagers. We live in a gorgeous bit of the UK where I love to get out into the garden or out walking in nature.

Decisions, decisions ?
Well I've had a
mastectomy
and am on a drug to help prevent a re-occurrence, so why would I use another drug which knocks out the T cells which helps to prevent cancer !! I really am in a dilemma. My thoughts are to stick with Methotrexate.
