Newly Diagnosed Breast Cancer
My MRI has shown a little more breast cancer involvement, so the specialist says treatment must be a
mastectomy
, not a lumpectomy as originally thought. Although I feel if I must trade a breast for my life, it's a done deal, I still can't believe this whole situation. I feel like it's a dream.

Does normalcy exist on this journey?
There isn't a single place in me that hasn't been touched by this struggle and I am wondering if any women here could speak to how their lives have changed? I want to know if everyone is as obsessed as me! For me, it feels like every moment, every decision, from what I am eating to how I am thinking

Time for a change
I have the BRAC 2 gene and have had a
mastectomy
and full hysterectomy to give me the best chance at a long and health life but realised that despite having major surgery I haven’t got my backside up off the couch and am so unfit - it dawned on me how ridiculous this was.

Bilat
mastectomy
, 4 rounds of chemo then put on Tamoxifen. No scans recommended, just PE's & bldwork. Fall of '17 had sensitivity on my left upper sternum. Dr wrote it off as cartilage soreness. Finally in Feb '18 a lump appeared in that area. Rad, bone scan then finally a PET scan.

My life with Cancer
So I thought that was done but in 2014 I had Breast cancer stage 2B on my right breast but they found cancer on 5 of 20 lymph nodes, so I had bilateral
mastectomy
, Chemo and radiation, so I thought I am on remission.

Hi, new here and wanting a little advice please?
Medical stuff in the past - had double
mastectomy
and reconstruction from mid-back muscles 2008, (so my back has always been uncomfortable) but the aches and pains there are much worse lately.

Hi I’m 46 and was diagnosed with stomach cancer in August and have completed 4 rounds of FLOT chemo a few weeks ago and am waiting for scan/MDT meeting to get a date for my surgery, it will either be a full or partial gastrectomy. I was fit prior to diagnosis, 9 stone 10 only 5ft 2 but was quite lean

ADENOMYOSIS PAIN help
I will more than likely go with the hysterectomy but I'm my mothers caregiver and she's waiting for a date for her
mastectomy
. I can't be down when I have to take care of her. So I'm hoping to be pain free somehow and soon.

Gastrectomy and bile reflux
Hi My wife had a Gastrectomy in may and everything has gone better than expected. She suffers from Fibromyalgia as well and now is on new tablets for that. Since about 4 weeks after discontinuing some antidepressants ,which helped her sleep, she has not been sleeping at all or very little. Now her bile

Breast Cancer ER/PR+ HER2- Grade3 Stage 3B
Had two unsuccessful lumpectomy surgeries and then a nonskin sparing
mastectomy
, no reconstruction . Now I’m getting ready for radiation therapy. I am also looking beyond RT and next steps. Any resources or tips?

Pay attention to your nipples! They might be trying to tell you something.
I was scheduled for a simple
mastectomy
, and the final biopsy was clear for my margins and 5 lymph nodes. Other than a complication that led to a skin infection, I have had a complete recovery without radiation, chemo, or lymphedema.

Against the clock!
Mr PB30 i have been informed that I need to lose 6 stone before I can have a gaul bladder removal operation. I had an operation last year to remove 30 gaul stones from my bike duct. Anyway the clock is ticking. Say I manage to lose 2 lbs a week: that's 42 weeks! I may have to undergo the first operation

Post op ., recovery
Now 2 weeks 2 days after the
mastectomy
And back from a delicious seafood lunch down at the harbour in Shell Bay with family . Coming home there’s a cushion under my arm where the drain was so guess it’s fluid gathered there , so will get someone to check it out .

Chemo to start soon
The
mastectomy
seems to be healing well and the strict vegan diet is a pain but is helpful in so many ways . Yes I do long for a steak and chips , creamy yogurt and cake but am managing to resist ( just).
