Mannotol
I have heard many positive things about
Mannitol
so I tried it. I took 1/2 tsp 2x a day for 2 days and had stomach upset so I stopped. If I cut back to 1/4tsp do u think it would help. Any one had same problem. I watched a webinar yesterday on
Mannitol
and it sounds promising. Thank you.

Mannitol and why some may not respond
Many of the things mentioned in this article are not usually mentioned in a discussion about
mannitol
and PD, but why not, if
mannitol
is a known butyrate agonist? Here is an abstract of a PD mouse study using butyrate to good effect.

Mannitol real world results.
So a new video came out from CliniCrowd and what a shocker . . .
mannitol
is helping people who didn't give up after a month . . . https://youtu.be/S2yTOKvhnp8 - - - Most patients with ataxia don't feel the impact until later in life.

Alternative Therapy that MAY act on a root cause of PD.
Mannitol
is one such example, but this post is about a second supplement that I find intriguing. I first wrote about this supplement several weeks ago, but as I do not have PD, but rather I have SCA1 my initial research was not focused on PD.

Thiamine and Mannitol???
Been trying trehalose but gives me a bad tummy but I THINK
Mannitol
may be working SLOWLY. I am getting desperate but I am taking Thiamine (B1) too. So both MAY be helping?? Still sensitive tummy but not as bad. May be doing nothing but thought I would say in case works a bit for others? x

How to take Mannitol
There seems to be some debate over the amount of
Mannitol
that actually manages to survive the stomach, get to the intestines etc etc. Would it be an idea to put a teaspoon of it into one's mouth and let it dissolve there? Just wondered.

Breathing problems "in my head" - any advice?
In fairness my spirometry shows obstruction that isn't meeting criteria for asthma and my
mannitol
challenge was negative but showed evidence of hyperreactive airways and small airways disease. Still using all my regular meds, still needing Ventolin daily.

Neta was right! Mannitol and trehalose similar.

Mannitol
but I was too dense to catch on until now.
