I've started to have problems sleeping. I usually wake up 1 or 2 times a night. However, over the past few weeks, I've been getting 1 to 3 hrs of sleep. I don't know what to do. I fall asleep ok. After sleeping for approx 1.5 hrs I wake up. I go to the bathroom then as I try to go back into bed and

Time and again I see recommendations that one should speak to an MPN specialist or someone else on one's care team - and I have a quiet chuckle and just carry on with my life. I am Coeliac around 2010 I was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation and Essential Thrombocythemia; since then I have progressed

Does anyone use ‘Active Iron’ in UK?
I searched for ferrous bisglycinate on Amazon UK which came up with Active Iron 25mg. I’ve now received it and found it contains ferrous sulfate 25mg! Now I don’t know if this is the right product or dose. Can anyone help?

Iron supplements dosage
Is 20mg of gentle iron each night enough? It worked well the first night. What a wonderful relief it was. The second night it did work within 70 mins but returned within 3 hours.. I wonder why it didn't last as long? Would a slow release be better, like ferrous sulphate 325mg? Or will it need to be

New test results
Hi, Here are the Blue Horizon test results for my friend where I think she's showing hypothyroid because of the low T4. Do you agree? Is Total T4 also a bit low in range, do you think?Next step will probably be to get the gp to test again and check the low T4 wasn't a one off as there's no thyroid panel

Slow Breathing Practice
2 years ago at 56, I went into syncope twice. The first time I was walking in a park and doing deep breathing. (like many I misinterpreted slow breathing with hyperventilation). A week later while hospitalized for rapid afib as I was about to go for a cardioversion, I walked to the bathroom doing deep

Is this hypothyroidism?
Hello, a friend just had some thyroid blood tests back from Blue Horizon and I wanted to check with you if you think they're hypothyroid. I'll ask permission from her to post the results in detail but for now I can give a basic overview. Background info, she's often tired and cold, and has mental health

Blood test results and feeling "off"
I did my quarterly thyroid test last week, having brought it forward a bit due to feeling "off" - feeling very tired and lethargic, no libido, muscle weakness...this is despite stable thyroid levels that most would say look very good. Also had a lot of back and neck pain, which has been treated by an

Hi, is there anyone else in the UK using modified (sustained/slow) release ferrous sulphate 325mg or have you been able to obtain the normal, immediate release ferrous sulphate in this dose? Getting more depressed each day.
So since I was diagnosed in May 2020 I have rarely been on the same strength of levothyroxine, let alone the same brand. At present I am on 75mcg of levo. (25 wockhartd and 50 accord). I feel unwell on Teva so refused to take another prescription with it. Teva seems to aggravate my migraines more than
