New to RLS…confused, frustrated and a bit frightened.
I was diagnosed with RLS which started shortly after after 2 emergency surgeries I had in late 2021. I assumed I might need iron supplementation, (as I had some blood loss) after reading about iron and RLS, and so I requested a ferritin level check-up from my clinic. It was 31. D3 + K 2 and magnesium supplements
Hi, I don’t know if actually being given levo which suits me for 3 months (Mercury Pharma) or taking the above has helped, but my almost daily episodes of diarrhoea have cleared up. Also, I was having increasing chest pains which have completely cleared up taking vitamin D3. Just in case this helps anyone

Suspected B12 deficiency and about to start SI
Hi everyone, I’ve had ID anaemia (microcytic hypochromic) for over 20 years and was told by a GP many years ago that this was due to malabsorption. I’ve had hypothyroidism since 2014, long covid for the past 2 years, and a vax injury from March 2021 that is only just being investigated by rheumatology

Latest blood test results - now including vitamin checks!
I love how knowledgeable and helpful people have been on here so I’m back! Nov 22 - TSH was 0.13. Doc was concerned I was over-medicated but I felt great, so she left me on my dose which was alternating 75mg one day and 100 the next. Jan 23 - TSH was 0.37. Not sure if it means anything that it’

Magnesium biglycinate and levothyroxine - spacing of meds
Hi All I want to start taking magnesium biglycinate at night to help me sleep. I take my levothyroxine at night too. I usually take supplements in the day and the reason I wanted to take the thyroxine at night was because I wanted to avoid any contraindication issues that might occur. I know I will

Struggling with CoFactors
Hi everyone, I have a dilemma. I’ve had 2 B12 jabs in the last 6 months. I tried them because I have been feeling awful and suspected that it may be a deficiency. I suffered from folate deficiency a while back which was treated with folic acid by GP but I felt terrible on it and had to stop. Luckily

Magnesium in Parkinson’s disease: an update in clinical and basic aspects
Parkinson's has a long presymptomatic period, it's caused for the newborn, from magnesium deficiency during pregnancy & nursing which makes it so fewer dopamine nerves are created. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK507269/#_NBK507269_pubdet_

Vitamins
Hello all. I'm now trying to optimise my vitamins so I'm using Thorne Basic B and I've taken this forum's advice about getting D3 with K2 but I'm not sure which type of magnesium is best for us? The citrate kind or the other? Also I think we are supposed to have Selenium and Zinc, yes? Any particular

Hello all, I'm looking for a bit of collective advice. I have had serious side effects from the BISOPROLOL I was taking, song burning cold aches in my hands and feet as if they are about to go into pins and needles mode and so I was advised by my NHS cardio at Barts Hospital to change to VERAPAMIL

Raising t3 without raising t4
Hi, just after some advice re increasing my t3. On paper my results look good, but I am still so fatigued! (Vitamins, ferretin levels all good as private bloods checked regularly) I'm also taking HRT, recent test revealed oestrogen raised, (twice highest recommended level) so reducing my intake in

Genetic osteoarthritis especially in my knees, was using magnesium spray, but since on Radiotherapy PC sessions, wet weather, suggestions?
Have had genetic osteoarthritis in my knees for decades, my Uncle and Brother have both had knee replacements, but have been advised by friends [and brother] find alternative relief solutions! Maybe it is because of PC radiotherapy treatment or wet weather ALWAYS worst time of the year, but particularly
