Clinical trial with monoclonal antibodies?
I've been asked to participate in a clinical trial in which I get an infusion of monoclonal antibodies. The team is wanting to know if this would help those with blood cancers have higher resistance to Covid. Any thoughts? I will discuss with my doctor but wanted more feedback.

Acalabrutinib treatment going well
I have been on one dose daily of Acalabrutinib for 4 weeks now and am doing quite well. The fatigue has improved quite a lot, although I won't be running any marathons, and I don't feel sick every day. So a good response in my opinion. Headaches and some muscle discomfort daily but Tylenol dampens

Not anemia? Lab results question.
It's been a couple months since my last iron infusion. Last week, I had labs drawn, and results included: [H] WBC (18.1), RDW (16.4), Platelets (614), Creatinine (1.04); [L] MCH (24.1), MCHC (30.5), Iron (22); [LL] Iron Saturation (7). Hemoglobin was just within normal range at 11.2, and

Venetoclax for dummies
Venetoclax owes its origin to a lady named Eliza Hall, I bet AussieNeil has heard of her. Eliza was a lady from Melbourne Australia who married an Englishman named Walter Hall in 1874. Walter Hall and his two brothers arrived almost penniless in Australia in 1852, coming from England to search for

Colon cancer secondary to CLL
I had posted that I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer and I’ve since had the mass successfully removed. Out of 16 lymph nodes analyzed 1 had cancer. So it’s off to chemo therapy in two weeks. For three months. Is there anyone in the group who’s experiencing this ? And does anyone have experience

CLL is a lymphoid stem cell cancer so why are my myleloid stem cell products falling so much?
I am on Acal for 10 months after 8 years on W&W, 13q unmutated. Doing well with minimal side effects. ALC coming down from >200,000 to less than 30,000 after 9 months in April. Going to Dana Farber next week. My question is: if CLL is a lymphocyte cancer and lymphocytes come from lymphoid stem cells

Colon cancer as secondary cancer
Hi I just got diagnosed with colon cancer last week and I am lucky I will have the operation to remove it on Tuesday - a very good Kaiser surgeon got me in quickly. It's not clear if it has advanced - I hope not- so we will see. I had a CT scan for the CLL in March when they saw something in the colon

Latest bloodwork
My past 3 cbc's have shown a rise in specific areas that seem to indicate that I'm no longer in remission. I'm hoping I can attach results as I have questions about some elements. I have been on a low dose of (140mg) for the past 5 years and was previously treated with FCR in 2013. I will see my oncologist

Anyway, the liquid aspiration was analyzed, and the bone marrow looked normal; the next-generation sequencing panel from

The current status and challenges of CAR-T therapy in CLL
A few members of this group are scheduled for CAR-T and others might find themselves in the same situation in the future so I thought this would be of interest. 8 week check up
Had an 8 week check up at Herbert Herman Cancer Center today. Doc says I'm doing excellent. He ordered a PET scan a month after my final Gazyva infusion 3/20. Is this normal procedure for those on O&V 12 month course? I though I wouldn't have any more scary test until the end of treatment. On bright

Insurance company refusing to pay out saying my Lymphoma is related to my CLL
