Hi. This is my first post.
My husband is about to have a blood test for celiac disease. He has been been following a gluten free diet for a week and is already starting to feel a bit better. Will the blood test be accurate if he has not had gluten for a week? His doctor is adamant that it will be accurate as the antigens remain

How long does it take to feel better doing a gluten free diet?
I had the blood test for coeliac disease and the endoscopy and both were negative but the specialist nurse said I could try it anyway to see what happens. My main problem is dry eyes and I've heard some people have had success with this diet. How long would it take to start seeing some kind of effect

Quorn - some products have now been awarded Coeliac UK's Cross Grain symbol
Hi Everyone. I'm posting the following because I think it might be of interest to some of you. Recently I have been noticing that information has been popping up about some Quorn items being gluten-free. With this in mind, earlier today I had a phone conversation with customer services from Marlow

Newby and curious.
I gave up taking methotrexate and follic acid which I wasn't convinced of working without being carcinogenic. Perhaps I'm being foolish as RA is progressive. But I wanted to try other more holistic approaches like giving up sugar completely as I'm addicted to it. I was also going to try a gluten free

Gluten and Lupus
Hi fellow Lupies I have recently looked at a study that has been going on in the States, where it seems that there seems to be a lot more interest in diet and links to lupus, the study looks at people going on a gluten free diet. I asked about this when I when to see my rheumy recently and it was suggested

Any benefit to a low-gluten diet?
I know this probably isn't strictly the best place to ask this question but some of you may have experience of this. I am considering trialling a gluten-free diet for a few weeks to see if it resolves several issues which may or may not be caused by gluten: I have not been diagnosed with coeliac disease

Not diagnosed but been gluten free for 2 months
I decided from choice to go gluten and wheat free after always suffering from IBS symptoms, wind and bloating. I have felt much better since I have but still don't feel 100%. I am about to undergo a lot of blood tests at the request of my GP and one is for Celiac Disease. I told my GP of my gluten

Hi, I'm new here
I'm a 50 year old female Canadian, I have not been diagnosed as celiac or coeliac as you say in the UK with a gluten sensitivity officially. I recently began eliminating gluten on account it is recommended as a helpful guideline for endometriosis sufferers. And I know it works. I tried this once before

Persistent gastrointestinal symptoms post recovery
Hi all, Any clues as to what causes, or tales of similar experiences with, persistent gastrointestinal symptoms? Diagnosed with coeliac disease 2.5 years ago I have been a strict follower of the gluten free diet. After 4 months on the gluten free diet, I hadn't experienced full recovery from my symptoms

Grave's disease treatment update and question about agranulocytosis
Hello everyone, I posted on here when I was first diagnosed nearly three months ago. I was very frightened and the three treatment options offered to me all filled me with dread. I was also worried that I would have to go gluten-free to optimise the treatments. So much has happened since then. I had

Gluten-free bread. Anyone got any recommendations?
Battling through the early stages of a gluten-free diet. My experiences of gluten-free bread have so far been rather grim! Anyone got any recommendations as to products that they have found palatable? Suspect I am going to end up making my own bread and have also noticed some gluten-free bread mixes
