Osteoporosis and Coeliac Disease
Has anyone been diagnosed with osteoporosis after their coeliac diagnosis? I have just had a bone scan and the result has shocked me. I have been told that I have significant bone thinning. I was expecting to have some as I was 59 when I discovered I had coeliac. I have always been very active - walking

Hashis Gluten intolerance ?
Hi all, I have hashis and I have tried to be on gluten free diet for 3 months already. In between I reintroduce myself to gluten free diet twice for a period of 2-3 days. Both times I only feel uncomfortable after I stopped eating gluten for 3 days. I got prolonged diarrhoea and feel nauseated (vomited

IgA t-Transglutaminase Ab's
I have recently had bloods done as I was diagnosed with coeliac disease a year and a half ago. When I was diagnosed my TTG was over 128 when the norm is 0-7. My gastro consultant said that my results are now ok. However when I asked for a printout of the results and looked at it my reading is now

Wheat gluten free???
Anyone whose tried a gluten free diet how long was it before you had an improvement in symptoms? I'm not celiac but gp recommended cutting out gluten for a week to see if I have any improvement but it's soo hard to do and so far (3days in) making no difference at all. Just very frustrating, especially

Consultation with a Private Doctor
I am 61 and have ET. I was on 2x500mg Hydroxy plus 75mg Aspirin. I stopped taking it in September. In December I went to see a private doctor in Harley Street, not a haematologist. She did some blood tests, the results of which may be of interest to others, although they relate to me. It may save

Disappointed with latest results-dose increase?
Hi - here are my latest results. I am taking 75mcg levothyroxine and 12.5mcg T3 (bought from Greece). Do you think it would be ok to increase T3 to 25mcg? Also I am very dissappointed that my antibodies are way up. I have been gluten free for 18 months apart from a couple of weeks ago when I gave in

Gluten Free - Graves and Hypo
Hi - after my post last week about my blood test results a few people suggested a strictly gluten free diet is sometimes beneficial so I took the plunge and have been gluten free for 5 days. I'm New! Why are my symptoms worse with new dose of levothyroxine?
Hi there, this is my first post. Feeling rather confused and despondent but it has been comforting to find this site and see there are other people in the same boat. Would love a little advice to see if anyone has experienced what is currently happening with me. I know that I have Hashimoto's - this

Trying to conceive and very high TPO antibodies?
Good morning, I'm still new to thyroid issues and still learning about it- I had raised TSH (6.2) and have started on levothyroxine (25mcg per day). We discovered all this on our path to trying for a baby- no success after 2 years... The thing I'm trying to learn about now is will the high TPO affect

Hope, T3, NDT, Hashimoto’s and determination...
Here are the facts (please see earlier posts for my most recent bloods): Started on 2grains NDT (compounded chemist) 2 weeks ago. Seeing my endo in 7 weeks for bloods and dose adjustment. Was on 80mcg T3 after previous unsuccessful trials of T4 only and T4/T3 mixes. Had hyper/hypo all my life as far
