Low PSA producing PCa. MO discontinued Abi +Pred. Is this right?
Started on
Lupron
right away. Abi and pred started when PSA went to .26 a year after surgery. We’re in Florida for a few months and went to Moffit for a second opinion. Doctor took him off abi and pred right away (he’d been on for 2 months).

Is it normal taking lupron shots and after awhile doesn’t work?
Since his psa was raising he decided to take
Lupron
and at the beginning was working but his last psa it doubled. We don’t know if there’s anything else that it would help him. Any suggestions?

Same Question Again…
My husband began with Gleason 8. 2017 Prostate removed. 2018… 39 rounds of Radiation… after 18 months of No PSA , it began climbing and he started Casodex and
Lupron
. He has had two “vacations” from meds.

Lupron
and Zytiga stopped until either chemical or image progression shows up. The goal is to rebuild the lost muscle and possible lose some of the other SE's -Fatigue and brain fog being most annoying. My question is about backing off from the 5mg Prednisone that I've used for almost 5 years.

NIne Years of Lupron
I started my 10th year of
Lupron
. Back in February of 2014, after radiation failed, I had my first injection which I have continued with every 4 months After the first injection, PSA fell to 0.06. By September of 2016, it had climbed to 0.2. It is now 0.3.

Update
He still and will continue to receive
Lupron
every 6 months. However, this last round of
Lupron
(without the Jevtana) brought extreme side effects. This is the 1st time in this 5+ year battle he's had to take Hydrocodon for the joint pain and swelling. It was a crisis for sure.

Pluvicto Update
I'm also taking Xtandi and of course the beloved
Lupron
. I think it has been better tolerated than Docetaxel but the fatigue may be worse. Not sure if Pluvicto is to blame or the Xtandi. I am very weak and tire easily. I did walk a mile the other day but I was wiped out afterwords.

ADT w/ Heart History
Radiation Oncologist suggests 30 days of casodex, followed by
Lupron
injection, then 25 EBRT sessions, followed by 1.5-3 years of ADT, per NCCN guidelines. But referred to Medical Oncologist. Today MO scared about
Lupron
given heart disease. Referring to another cardiologist for consult.

PSA doubled again within three months.
I have had all of the first course of treatment after the prostate was removed and have been on
Lupron
since 2018, Oncologist has now added Xtandi to the mix. I also have in addition to the cancer, cirrhosis of the liver ( non alchoholic) and heart disease.

Expectations after six cycles of Taxotere
My husband was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer nearly three years ago, receiving a regimen of ADT, which included abiraterone,
Lupron
and prednisone. When that no longer worked, he started first-line chemotherapy. He just completed his sixth cycle.

Enzalutamide/Xtandi monotherapy as ADT with fewer side effects than Lupron
Enzalutamide monotherapy could probably be used instead of
Lupron
after radiation too.

Will I qualify for Social Security Disability?
I’m on
Lupron
and Zytiga. I’m considering filing for disability. Will I qualify? Is there anyone that has experience with this? Thanks in advance

Effect of Baseline T on T-Recovery Time
Here's a plot of % of Men who recover their baseline testosterone after stopping ADT (
Lupron
), as a function of ADT duration for two different groups: (A) men who had a
normal
baseline testosterone (red line), and (B) men who had a
low
baseline testosterone (green line).

Glucose
I have stage four prostate cancer and have been taking Zytiga, Prednisone, and
Lupron
for 5 and 1/2 years. My PSA is 0.049 and my testosterone is -7. Have any of you had an increase in your glucose level? In my last four blood tests, my glucose has gone from 115 to a little over 200.

high blood pressure
He is currently on
lupron
, xjeva every 6 months, Ibrance, and letrozole. Random question for y’all: have you had an increase in blood pressure since going on any of these meds? His BP has always been pretty normal but every time at the oncologist his BP is like 165/80.
