How do I know
I went through a
lumpectomy
followed by mastectomy, 6 months of chemo, 6 weeks of radiation and 5 years of Letrozole. It’s a 200-mile round trip for treatment. In 2017 I lost my Medicaid coverage. I now have insurance through my work, but my deductible is $5,000 and $500 a month in premiums.

Struggling
My husband keeps saying it’s too radical bc I’m on the meds and will continue to be so why not have a
lumpectomy
. I don’t want the cancer to come back in my breast.

Its Back !!!
I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer back in Feb 2015 , I had chemo ,
lumpectomy
and radiotherapy .Although I had awful side effects I was happy to have made it through it all and hoped that as it . Sadly 4 years to the day I was rediagnosed again .

New to DCIS
I was recently diagnosed with DCIS, had a
lumpectomy
in February, and they are now suggesting radiation, followed by a hormone inhibitor. I'm pre-menopausal currently. My genetic testing came back low on the tissue removed. Estrogen positive.

Stage 1a breast cancer
My surgeon recommended a
lumpectomy
and a SNL biopsy with radiation. Jan. 3rd I had my
lumpectomy
and it was found to actually be Stage 1a breast cancer with no lymph node involvement.

Surgery done
Today I had my
lumpectomy
with reduction . Lymph nodes were clear and I feel not too bad at all! Such a strange mix of emotions but each treatment is a step nearer to hopefully beating this.

I'm new here and afraid of breast cancer
I had a
lumpectomy
and lymph nodes were removed. Lymph nodes were clear. It was determined to be Stage 1. My oncologist prescribed Anastrozole which I take along with injections of Prolia every six months.

Feeling type of way
She kept saying she was blessed, all she had to get was a
lumpectomy
. It made me feel feel a little jealous. I’m happy for her but it was her tone and she said it multiple times. 🤷🏽♀️

New pain in raising arm
I has a
lumpectomy
with 8 out of 9 lymph nodes cancerous removed in Feb 2017, Stage 3. Had some lymphadema afterwards that went away until about 2 months ago when my hand and fingers on that side became swollen. Did some of the exercises and it subsided.

🎶Keep Yourself Alive🎶 (apologies to Queen...)
[/i] It’s three years ago now since I had a diagnosis of cancer, leading to a mastectomy and a
lumpectomy
. As horrendous as this all was at the time, it inadvertently kick started my running, as my physio from Macmillan (the charity) made a daft suggestion about getting me running.
