CEA's normal
My CEA's are well within normal ranges; however, during a routine check up, a 2 cm place was found on my right upper lobe. Last year I underwent a total colectomy due to colon cancer. My oncologist has scheduled a PET scan, my question is.... is he being overly cautious? I have no symptoms. I really

Worried and feeling sad
Hello, My husband was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma in early 2012 and had a
lobectomy
in the April of that year. The disease was detected early and despite our requests, he did not have adjuvant chemotherapy.

Cat scan report after one year of lung lobectomy surgery
Greetings and blessings to this wonderful community. My report was slightly indeterminate, which, has me feeling edgy. It states numerous new bilateral tiny subsolid lung nodules might be infection or inflammatory, but neoplama cannot be excluded. Oncologist didn't seem to be worried and recommended

Breathlessness after pneumothorax and lobectomy/ segmentectomy
Hi all My mum had a vats lower right
lobectomy
and upper left segmentectomy for Adenocarcinoma about 8 weeks ago. Following the surgery she suffered a pneumothorax and infection due to a drain not being fitted correctly.

Upcoming Lobectomy
I'm scheduled for a left lower lobe
lobectomy
on June 20th and am very anxious about what I've heard is terrible pain after the surgery. In fact, I've even considered cancelling it which I know would be ridiculous .

Just home after lung wedge resection
My thoughts and prayers are for any of you awaiting
lobectomy
...my experience mirrored my the other two patients in the maxi care ward who had lobectomies. Both said it was much easier than they'd expected. Take care and God Bless.

Lump on chest wall 3 months after surgery!!
I had a
lobectomy
at the end of February as I had a 5.5cm mass in my middle lobe. After being told by the consultant and surgeon that it was unlikely to be cancer, the results came through as stage 2A mucinous adenacarcinoma.

Lymph node activity found during lobectomy
My mum was told last week that during her right lower
lobectomy
the surgeon completed a "frozen section" which showed "activity" in the lymph nodes on her right side. I believe he did 3 samples.

Confused :-( - Lung Cancer
When getting the results the consultant confirmed it is Cancer - but early stages and that she will need to have a
Lobectomy
to remove one of the 1 x lobe. 2 weeks later we then come face to face with the surgeon- who had a complete different view on what we had been told by the Consultant. he confirmed

Update after mums surgery
So my mum underwent a

Finally introducing myself
I had a right temporal
lobectomy
. There were 3 blood vessels attached to the tumor and unfortunately the one the surgeon had to keep attached in my brain, was the only one of them that had cancer cells on it.
