Painful Achilles
I’ve just started on
leflunomide
as MTX injections didn’t work. Also on numerous other meds. I’ve got a phone consult with rheumy nurse in a couple of weeks so will ask her, but just wondered if anyone had any possible remedies or anything you did which helped. Thanks 😊

Wondering about Leflunomide side effects
Hi Everyone I started
Leflunomide
a week ago. I thought all was going well until yesterday. I hurt from head to toe and today is even worse, plus I have not slept in 3 nights as I am in so much pain. I am thinking this pain is from the med. and not pmr.

Medication choice?
I have been sent brochures on Sulfasalazine,
Leflunomide
and Hydroxychloroquine. Does anyone have any experience of these drugs please? I know I have to take one of them and at the moment Hydroxy seems the best choice. Any help appreciated please?

leflunomide

Any suggestions for starting Leflunomide
Hi Everyone I will be starting
Leflunomide
on Monday and wondered if anyone would have any suggestions on how to make this experience more pleasant than it sounds. The side effects terrify me.

which alternative (eventually) to pred?
or 'kinder' drugs like Sulfasalazine or
Leflunomide
. Idea being to up pred to 15 for couple of weeks then taper again whilst gently introducing new drug. I've looked at both and they don't seem great - but whats the alternative? I don't really want to increase pred for any length of time....

Poor services at hospital and my RA is deteriorating badly
Hi Everyone, I have now been 5 months on Hyrimoz with
leflunomide
and prednisolone and hydroxychloroquine. I was switched to the biologic because I had been on 3 DMARDs for several years before without success.

leflunomide

Lung problems?
I’ve been on mtx since Jan, and
Leflunomide
since April for PsA. In combination they’ve done a lot to ease things, although I’m still not fully under control yet.

Rheumatology appointment cancelled
Hi, I had an appointment booked to start on
leflunomide
on 16th June, it has been cancelled. My last one had as well due to the covid situation. I'm really struggling though, they put me on steroids for 8 weeks but only 10mg for 4 weeks then 5mg for 4 weeks.

Leflunomide and sore throat.
Has this happened to anyone? Not sure if the drug or not. Will take again today to confirm. Wondered if this had happened to you whether it was a side effect that wore off. P.S. I know it's on the side effect list but not so severe that I need to seek guidance today. P.P.S Will it ever end! Am beginning

Newbie
Started on mtx straight away, but they’d started me on pred over Christmas whilst waiting to be seen and I ended up stuck on it for almost 4 months - I couldn’t successfully stop it at all until they added
leflunomide
in at the start of April.

Out with MTX and in with Leflunomide!
So starting
Leflunomide
and a quick dose of steroids. Relieved to be moving forward. I'm sure lots of you have been on it! Anyone done the swop recently?

A sincere thank you
However, I haven’t been taking my biologics and
leflunomide
since the beginning of February - due to being off them before surgery and then infection afterwards, so that’s not really unexpected, to me? Anyway, that you all so very much for listening to my moaning and your advice and support.

Blood Testing
After radio silence from rheumatoid nurse since before lockdown, rang consultant's office and finally advised that I need to continue with blood tests - on Imraldi and
Leflunomide
. Thankfully booked at GP's when I have to take my husband for his appointment.
