Well, I just could not do methotrexate. It was awful. Started leflunomide yesterday. Have any of you used this drug? Side effects?

RA - ulcers - mucosal lesions...ongoing saga
Some time ago, while taking
Leflunomide
, one of the side effects I suffered was severe mouth ulcers. The ulcers lead to lesions on my gums that broke through to bone. I had just been referred to to FacialMaxillory consultant, then Covid happened. I have a dental plate that covers the holes.

Anyone with RA and ADHD? It’s confusing, scary and don’t know what normal brain fog is for RA and what for ADHD…
I’m on
leflunomide
and vyvance, run out of vyvance and the bullshit started again… waiting for my next prescription… arranging travelling - you wouldn’t believe the mistakes I did arranging car park, car rent, etc.

Scared to start Leflunomide
But he wants to go after this with a sledgehammer and add
Leflunomide
. I’m really scared b/c you can’t get pregnant on. The damage to the fetus is so severe. Not planning on kids at my age, but if it can do that what is it doing to the rest of me??

28/05/2021 - Stopping Leflunomide Experience
I think something is not right and I do not think it is the right time to go without
leflunomide
. To avoid the possible relapse, I decided to take the
leflunomide
again. To go back to my previous remission condition, I am okay to have the double agents treatment - methotrexate and
leflunomide
.

Lumps on finger joints
I’ve recently started
Leflunomide
, perhaps the tiredness from this med is getting me down a bit as well, but thought I’d reach out, ss.

Skin breakouts and hair loss
It sounds like some of the other issues I am having - the breakouts on my face, dry skin, and the neuropathy - are likely caused by the
leflunomide
. I have paused taking the
leflunomide
because I have been loosing so much hair.

Starting leflunomide soon...
Hi everyone, so after 2 years on MTX my rheumy has decided to try me on
leflunomide
with the MTX. This is because Salfasalzine was making me depressed and hydroxychloroquine made my tinnitus worse. I read the side effects with
leflunomide
can be scary, has anyone of you experienced any?

Beware mouth ulcers... RA meds or just RA?
2 years ago while taking
Leflunomide
(though it may not have been the cause), I suffered 2 massive ulcers in my gums. They didn't heal and broke through to bone. These have still not healed though they are not painful, just exposed bone is not ideal. They are both beneath my partial denture...

sulfasalazine or leflunomide
Hi all, Mtx didn’t suit me so my consultant mentioned these 2 to add to the hcq I already take. Hands are playing up badly again so know I need something else. I’d like some idea what to expect from these and if one may be better side effect wise than the other? Thanks everyone, ss

Methotrexate
I've only tried
leflunomide
in the past but that raised my liver result and was stopped. I'm still currently on steroids which will end the beginning of July. I'm worried if I have to change meds there will be a period of delay in ending steroids and the new meds working.

I've been on
Leflunomide
for 18 months. I've never had a nose bleed. I do have low WBC though.

Stop
leflunomide
I told her to do the best for me as she is the best person to know what is the best thing to do for me. She chose 2 and told me to continue with
leflunomide
again if I do flare in future. She said that this is the process to further reduce DMARDs for me.

Leflunomide side effect?
I've been taking 10 mg of
leflunomide
daily for two months. The bottoms of my feet feel swollen and sore. Is this the beginning of peripheral neuropathy? My doctor recommended doubling the dose, which I declined. She didn't answer the question about neuropathy risk.
