So sick and tired
They sent a 3 page fax to them which stated I was being discharged with a foley cath after giving me 40 mg
lasix
for fluid. I don't have a cath, and i do believe i did get the
lasix
instead of my pain meds before discharge because all I did was pee all night long.

This is my first post but i have been following others for some time. I am 51 years old and was severely myopic (-15) before having Lasik about 18 years ago. My vision gradually got worse until I became about minus 6. I noticed a yellow blob in my right eye vision earlier in the year which developed

A little side trip to the hospital
At least I can breathe a lot easier and massive doses of
lasix
have cured that swelly feet thing. The skin on my feet sort of look like old parchment now, all wrinkly, but so much thinner.

I am really fed up and can't live with edema (water retention) anymore. Does anyone has any thoughts to share about this?
At the moment I take 320 mg of
Lasix
and 200 mg of spironolactone. I started with 160 mg of
Lasix
but got resistant over time so I had to take more and more.

Edema anyone?
My family doctor has now prescribed
lasix
for a short term treatment. Couple of important side notes: I've had abdominal ultrasound, upper endoscopy, and physical exam within the past 3 weeks that show no ascites, varices, or portal hypertension.

My body hols a lot of water so if I take my
Lasix
like I should, keeping my weigfht down, I don't jerk as much. It seems that I get my best sleep after the sun comes up in the morning. This disease makes no sense at all. It's crazy.

Why are my hands and feet swelling?
Not one physician has ever appeared concerned, even though the swelling in one leg is severe and has been with me 15 years, despite a daily dose of

LASIK while on Blood Thinner
Has anyone had LASIK since being put on blood thinner? Eye surgeon is concerned that putting pressure on eye to create flap will cause a bleed and is not keen on me bridging (even though I've successfully bridged before for a biopsy). Wants me to do PRK instead...if anyone has done that either your experience
