More waiting!
I'm guessing they won't be able to tell if its cancer until they take a look but don't know if that will have to be a full
laparotomy
given the size of the cyst or whether they'll just do a biopsy first/ laparoscopy. I'm rambling, sorry. Any thoughts? x x

Lap & Hysteroscopy tomorrow
I had stage 4 diagnosed end of November 2015 during
laparotomy
, followed by 2 failed IVF cycles. I'm now under a specialist affiliated with bsge hospital in Edinburgh : a recent mri showed very extensive disease which was affecting ureters /kidney, and I subsequently had two stents inserted.

Warrior wounds!
So, a week on from my laparoscopy that was brought forward, here are my Warrior Wounds (apologies for the fat still-bloated belly 😳) The long scar is from my
laparotomy
apecdectomy for my appendix when I was 9. This is likely the operation that robbed me of a healthy working reproductive system.

Pain back after laparotomy. Ttc. No answers.
Had
laparotomy
and laparoscopy in september '16 for endo (trapped in c-section scar) and adhesions. Was told that i should now be pain free. Fast forward 2 months and pain is back, in exactly same place, almost as if nothing was touched. 8 months later, am back in constant pain and am so gutted.

Dealing with anger re:aftermath
Hi ladies, I've probably said this before here but I am today struggling heavily with feelings of anger and loss. I'm two years post op today, which was a robotic laparoscopy including hysterectomy and adhesion dissection (leaving me one ovary that was "grossly normal"). That op taught us about the devastation

Supporting a significant other
Hi all, I'm new here. A couple weeks back, my girlfriend and I split due to issues with our sex life. We didn't talk for a week or so afterwards. When we did talk again and grabbed lunch together, and she told me she has a tumour on her ovary -- she goes in for surgery this week. Knowing this now,

Complications after laparotomy
Hi all, I am keen to know if anyone has experienced other problems after a lap to remove the endo from ovaries. I am about 8 months post surgery now and was on a 6 month treatment with Visanne. After a month ending the treatment, my menstrual cycle is back to normal but I am now quite conscious about

Anxiety, Depression and/or PTSD
I was in hospital for a year after a surgeon made a total mess of a
laparotomy
and separation of adhesion's (from an older surgery). He left a piece of colon floating loose but with a blood supply causing repeated sepsis.

Stopping Lisinopril
It usually requires exploratory
laparotomy
to fix this, but they want to investigate this more and so tomorrow I'm having a small bowel follow through and Upper GI where you swallow barium. I've also been on the FODMAP diet because my doctor thought I had IBS.

New: bumpy recovery from laparotomy for endometrioma, similar stories or advice please
Hi, I had a laparoscopic procedure to remove an endometrioma four weeks ago. Unfortunately, the cyst (about 8cm) was stuck to my uterus and because of the bleeding that the surgeon couldn't stop when they unpeeled the cyst off the uterus, he had to open me up fully to stitch up the uterus. He also removed

Daily pain ,can't explain what's going on to me
Could it be endometriosis after I have read some stories on this forums which were quite similar to what I'm experiencing , she said it could be but could not confirm without
laparotomy
since nothing was picked on any of the investigations ,so I asked for coil fitted which I have had so far for

Terrified
I was sent to a wonderful surgeon who, upon exploratory
laparotomy
found that I also had tumors on my liver, diaphragm, bladder, and rectum. He thoroughly removed every trace he could find and declared me free of metastatic carcinoma, which he graded at stage III-B.
