4 surgeries in the past year!!!
This last surgery was a
laparotomy
so he could get all the pieces of ovary left. I must add I have adhesions and scar tissue well of course from previous surgeries as well as endometriosis. He told my husband immediately after surgery I’ll probably need another one in 6 months or so.

HELP.. Advice needed
I am having a
laparotomy
as I have a 10cm cyst on one ovary and both a 6 and 15cm cyst on my other ovary. Endo is completely blocking my tubes and I have been told to expect them to be removed.

Endo pain... help please.
I had a
laparotomy
9 weeks ago, for a 9cm cyst on my ovary. This week I’m having pains in my groin, hip area (left side). It’s tender to touch and much worse in the evenings and night (sure that’s because endo knows I can’t see a doctor then). My gp isn’t great either.

5th Surgery- Laparotomy
This time my specialist has said it needs to be open surgery ,a
laparotomy
, due to the deep endo around my peritoneum and around my bowels. He has also said I may need a colostomy bag for a few weeks after if extensive surgery on my bowel is needed.

Egg collection - severe infection
I ended up having a
laparotomy
last week to remove a fairly large abcess and my right ovary and tube were removed too as they’d also become infected. Never did I expect this to be an outcome from egg collection, especially as I was already on antibiotics.

Upcoming surgery for large 12x11x7cm pseudocyst on ovary stuck to bowel and bladder also full Hysterectomy age 39 no kids 😥
I've had a giant endometrioma removal 2017 via
laparotomy
, fallopian tube and ovary had to be removed on left. Now this cyst had been seen on ultra sound following endo flare up stage 4. I'm awaiting ct scan and have planned surgery date for end of June.

Confused
I’ve recovered well from the
laparotomy
, although I get the odd niggle and I’m not back to full fitness. I requested a copy of the histology report to forward to my critical illness company to proceed with a claim.

I'm still in a daze...feeling lost
I had what turned out to be an exploratory
laparotomy
, since I was told the doctor couldn't see the organs and did nothing further. I didn't even get to speak directly with the surgeon, since he was a visiting the island where I live, for only one week, and had to leave after the surgery.

Laparotomy?
Last time it was converted into a
laparotomy
because they couldn’t ‘see’ properly. This time it’s with a surgeon with a special interest in endo- not bsge but knows what he’s doing from talking to him and looking at his credentials.

Laparoscopy and Laparotomy
Laparoscopy and
Laparotomy
. I have no idea what the difference is. Also I signed to have the marina coil fitted, but after reading the reviews I'm going to opt out of this if I can. Iim actually feeling very scared about this whole precedure 😰

No date 😔
He did however say he would book me for my
laparotomy
to remove a lump and an explorative laparoscopy, got letter for pre op for the 14th of November and was told to ring for my date. Yeah... and we’re back.. waiting.... with no idea of how much longer I’m going to feel like this.

Possibly TMI (sex, relationship & symptoms)
I’m not diagnosed officially, got a pre op date for laparoscopy and
laparotomy
(removal of ?granuloma ?cesarean Endometrioma ?horrible lump! The surgeon I met was really only interested in the lump and I’m so scared he’s not going to look properly.

Not confident
Saw consultant on Wednesday, I think he’s a general gynaecologist consultant, he’s agreed to do a laparoscopy (to look for endo) and
laparotomy
(to remove lump in abdominal wall) but I’m not feeling confident.

Exercising 3 months post laparotomy
So, i had my surgery three months ago, and a desperate to get back into exercise! I went back to the gym yesterday (and took it easy) but i am now EXHAUSTED which feels ridiculous. Anyone got any tips, or any idea of time scale to be able to get back into exercise normally? The incision area does ache
