During the
laparotomy
the surgeon was unable to remove any of the mass because it had spread to part of her bowel and also blood vessels to her liver.

Uterus stuck to bowel only..?
She has told me she’ll be ordering an MRI to see how deep it is, and then we will discuss ‘second stage treatment’ - not sure if that’ll be laparscopy or
laparotomy
🤷♀️ Thank you for any advice!

Persistent extreme fatigue months after surgery
Coming up six months ago I had a
laparotomy
to remove an ovary, Fallopian tube, cyst and appendix and since then I have been extremely tired and my energy levels are not seeming to get better - I lost a lot of blood so thought maybe the tiredness was due to being anemic but my red blood cells have now

Appetite problems related to endo?
Hi everyone, I posted on here a few weeks ago as I had new symptoms after a
laparotomy
and was trying to work out if they were because I have Endometriosis or if it could be because of something else.

Tiredness after laparotomy
Hi everyone, I had a
laparotomy
(I had an ovary, Fallopian tube, appendix and ovarian cyst taken out) coming up two months ago. As expected I was very tired after the operation but I am still completely exhausted and I don’t think my energy levels have improved at all.

Update from previous post; 2 months on..
It was unknown how long this surgery may take could be 1 - 6 hours they decided keyhole surgery first with
laparotomy
using the camera to take a good look inside.

Got rushed for emergency surgery (

After having been diagnosed lat year with endo I had a
laparotomy
in August of this year to remove very large cysts from my ovaries and unfortunately due to the damage the endo had caused I had to have both my tubes removed. Since my surgery in August I have felt better than ever.

If Mirena doesn’t stop pain, it’s not endo?
A bowel abnormality was detected during a contrast CT which resulted in a
laparotomy
to look at small bowel but nothing was found. Given I’ve had the constant pain for years I’m at a loss as to why a laparoscopy hasn’t been done. I feel like everyone thinks I’m faking!

Hypothyroidism Manifesting as a Combination of Ascites and Malnutrition Requiring Total Parenteral Nutrition: A Unique Presentation
Extensive testing, including
laparotomy
, was unable to reveal the cause of ascites and malnutrition until the patient mentioned, during her hospital stay, non-compliance with her home dose of levothyroxine (175 μg) because of the cost.

Please help/advise
This was a
laparotomy
so was left recovering for a significant amount of time and have the big scar. Since then I’ve had 3 more lots of surgery, thankfully only laparoscopys, as my endo fuses my surrounding organs together bowel, bladder etc.
