significant free fluid in pouch of douglas
Should the fluid be drained and can I ask for a
laparoscopy
to determine adenmyosis and if the fluid is infected.

Endo diagnosis
I know the gold standard to check for endometriosis is a
laparoscopy
. Should I go ahead with surgery for a diagnosis? If I choose not to have surgery and I do have endometriosis, am I at risk to any harm?

I have just signed my consent to be pushed through for a
laparoscopy
. I’m so nervous, any tips on how to prepare and deal with the aftermath? Also how long did you need to take off of work? Thankyou

scared
I’m wondering if the colonoscopy will be changed to a
laparoscopy
as symptoms lean towards ovarian problems.

proximal tube blockage.
iv had a rough fertility journey for many years with many losses latest one being an ectopic and having tube removed fast forward 4 years and still no positive test so I had a HSG test done and it’s came back that they suspect a proximal blockage or tube spasm so I’m now on the waiting list for the

symptoms
For over 12 years I have been in and out, IBS, age, hormone tests, internal scans etc etc until after many years, finally a
laparoscopy
, even the consultant said I doubt I will find anything! He did-adhesions removed, distended bowel observed and a quick chat around go next to bladder and bowel!

Enlarged Spleen
I've had one
laparoscopy
to remove endo (1st one) and one diagnostic recently that identified ovaries, uterus and bowel are fused. I have deep infiltrating endo in the rectovaginal area and possibly in my womb.

Post laparoscopy anxieties
I'm about a week post-op from my first
laparoscopy
which found stage 2 endo. In general, it was a good surgery and my pain is about manageable now. I'm still not overly mobile and can't bend down or anything so still relying on my partner to help me with a lot of things around the house.

Next steps??
Hey, I had my first
laparoscopy
yesterday for an endometrioma, but found stage 4 endo. I don’t have much info as my surgeon isn’t very communicative, but I do know that my uterus was fused to my bowel and my ovaries also had to be freed from something.

Had a
laparoscopy

reoccurrent miscarriage & endo
I had a
laparoscopy
last week, I was lucky as it was only one month after suspecting I could have endo. Although I think it was the cause of my 6 miscarriages and 2 failed ivf attempts.

IVF & work
I will probably need a
laparoscopy
in the near future and should also be starting ivf within the next 6 months. Did anyone on here tell their work about ivf? Or is it best to keep it quiet? Do workplaces have policies on needing time off for fertility treatments?

does your period ever wait for you?
It doesn’t help that although endo was heavily indicated on MRI I’m still waiting for specialist appointment and possibly
laparoscopy
so I don’t even have an official diagnosis.
