Allogenic Stem Cell Transplant
I [i]received a Stem cell transplant six months ago. My decision was based on the availability of a suitable donor and being able to get to remission through aggressive chemotherapy. Other treatments had no effect on my rapidly growing leukemia. As of today I’m still in remission, showing 97% chimerism

Stopping Prednisone
I had my
kidney
transplant
2-1/2 years ago and my lab tests are consistently good. I'm taking everolimus, mycophenolic acid and prednisone. The prednisone is causing weight gain, diabetes and, possibly, hair loss. I tapered down to 5 mg of prednisone over two years ago.

Raised Creatinine in urine
Hello everyone I was diagnosed with PMR in January and am now down to 4.5mg prednisolone. Having piled on the pounds at first I have been on a low carb diet since March. I do eat quite a bit of meat and a recent urine dip stick test showed raised creatinine. Could this be caused by high protein/low carb

Bone marrow transplant
Hi, I am being offered a bone marrow transplant and wonder if anyone can offer me positive advice. Obviously the process is quite scary, but would like to think I'm doing the right thing. Thank you George

Alcoholic liver disease is a strong predictor of colorectal polyps in liver transplant recipients
In January this year, following a routine blood test by my GP. It highlighted low ferritin levels. After having completed a Fit-Test (faecal haemoglobin test), blood was found in the sample. I later went and had a CT Colonography. This highlighted four polyps in my colon. After a lot of messing around

Prednisolone, can it be down to 3/4 of 5mg?
So I'm
kidney
transplant
patient on my 11th year. I have some hormonal issues and my doctor said I should reduce my Prednisolone from 1 tab morning of 5mg to 3/4 of tab. I'm hesitating. What's your experience?

Anyone else having kidney issues? I'm about to have mine removed due to endometriosis.
Hi, just wondered if anyone else having similar issues. Very long story but 6 years ago I had my uterus, tubes, one ovary, appendix and extensive endometriosis removal. Then 2 years ago I had my remaining ovary removed, this time with just a general gynae as middle of covid and I just needed help. After

Back on the transplant list
Yesterday I returned to the lung transplant waiting list after an enforced break due to my Dad picking up his second bout of Covid. Fortunately, Lauren and I didn't get it, too. We've all been doing regular testing and we must have caught Dad's covid very early before he could unwittingly pass it on.

The answer of my right Kidney Tumor
The PAD has arrived and it shows radical operated clear cell renal cancer pT1a. Negative margin. In a small area at the site of previous biopsy, tumor cells are noted which may be indicative of involvement of perirenal fat associated with biopsy. Please can some body explain this ..........! I appreciate

Feet pain post kidney transplant
I am 2 months post transplant and I’m feeling good. I love to cook so I had my donor over for lunch and I cooked a bunch of food for her. I was standing for a few hours. I had such bad feet pain that afternoon/evening. It felt like it was radiating into my toes. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Received my Drceased Donor Kidney Tues

They hadn’t yet harvested the kidney and would need to test it after harvesting it, stc. But the initial data looked very good. A low risk lifestyle, etc. Tuesday morning I learned I would
