Need a rant
Last week I had some devastating news I have a rare liver condition and now because of the AF and bradycardia I have been told that I have no other options but to have a liver transplant because the AF complicates things I'm really upset and scared I really don't know what to do. I've got to have

Severe gastric problems- MMF?
I had my
kidney
transplant
in June of 2021 and am currently taking 500mg cell-cept bid. I started to have stomach issues around the 4 month mark, and they have progressed to the point where my daily activities, sleep, and quality of life is impacted. Up until this point, I have felt terrific!

Otelza Drug for Plaque Psoriasis
Hi all, just a quick question. Not PMR but for another AI disease. Has anyone come across or have experience of using Otelza (Apremilast, Aplex)? An earlier post got me thinking as my daughter has just been diagnosed (maybe) with Palmoplantar Pustulosis Psoriasis. I thought she might be put on Methotrexate

Liver Disease Reversal
Seen in the Daily Mail today British designed dialysis machine can be used on liver patients and appears to reverse the disease doing away with the need for a transplant. It should be available in three years. There isn’t too much information such as what stage of the disease has it been successful

Hello I am worried sick. Had LFTS taken 4 weeks ago and they are v high. My clottings results are fine and kidney function tests normal. The GP made a ‘FEB4’ calculation of 9. Which she says is very significant. I was a heavy drinker but I’ve been scared sober. I have a fibroscan on 23 June and app

Lymph Node Armpit Advice
Mom is on year 3 of clear breast scans and hoping to get in the
kidney
transplant
list soon. I needed some advice since I am a bit paranoid these days. I have had arm pain for a few years now which extends to my leg, and sometimes even my left breast feels more sensitive.

one month post op
I am one month out from my liver transplant, and am still in horrible pain, have lost 40 pounds, of which I did not have to loose, still taking OxyContin regularly, can’t sleep, and can’t eat solid foods. Any suggestions? Feeling absolutely miserable, and NO energy.

Low BP preventing transplantation
My husband had kidney cancer in each kidney 5 years apart roughly 20 years ago. He had partial nephrectomies on each kidney. In November 2022 he progressed to Stage 5 CKD and had to start dialysis. He has low BP and is medicated to keep it up. The transplant team reviewed his case and said they cannot

I was recently diagnosed with F4 Cirrhosis and I'm terrified. I found out by reading my medical record. Kidney patients waiting for a transplant deserve better
Great news! There has been a unanimous passage of the Organ Procurement Transplant Act in the U.S. Take a moment to say thank you to your lawmaker for prioritizing patients. #MyKidneyVoice https://bit.ly/3KBMdNr

New patient feeling so sick.
I'm posting this for my (74 year old) sister. It will be long. I'm trying to be a good advocate for her. Sorry if I rant a bit. It's all new and scary. She entered the hospital 3+ weeks ago as an emergency having felt I'll and not eaten or drank much for 5 days. She was diagnosed with complete kidney
