Which high blood pressure medication does not affect RLS ?
Hi I have just been diagnosed as having high blood pressure and have been given Felodipine as my treatment but have noticed that it seems to be aggravating my RLS. Is there other medication which would be more suitable?

Referred by GP but renal team won't see me
I was diagnosed with CKD last November but, like so many others, my kidney function had been declining for several years (although I hadn't been told!). After several more blood tests my GP referred me to the Renal team at East Sussex hospital. Today I spoke to one of the secreataries who told me they

CKD symptoms information
A little background before my question. I am going through testing for what was believed to be a neurological issues, at the same time believed I had a kidney infection as I was experiencing pain in the mid back and foamy urine. I had blood taken by the GP in Feb to check for any issues and it came back

Liver + Kidney Transplant + Nephrectomy is Terrifying
I have learned that I am most likely facing a liver and kidney transplant in the very near future due to my PKD. This will include a nephrectomy. This surgery is rather terrifying to me as it is so huge. Has anyone had experience with this same surgery?

Has anyone had Aquablation? Does ADT reduce prostate size enough to remove catheter?
I am one of those unlucky ones after biopsy I was not a candidate for RP due to my high GS 10. As a result my uro didn't even want to recommend surgery since the PCa was already out of the prostate. As a result I am still wearing the foley catheter. But now am considering surgery to open the channel

Lynparza
I know Lynparza comes with some horrible side effects. Have any of you heard of fever being one of them? My husband has developed a fever of 102. I called the on call Doctor he said to give him Tylenol to bring it down if and that if he’s not better by morning to bring him into the office. He also

Neoadjuvant Androgen Deprivation Therapy in Prostate Cancer (with surgery)
Here is a link to a recent and fairly comprehensive multi-section set of articles on the use of neoadjuvant (i.e., treatment begun before the main treatment and continued alongside the main treatment) ADT. The articles are mainly about ADT and surgery, but also contain a small amount of information

I was diagnosed with Catastrophic Anti-Phospholipid Syndrome (CAPS) or Hugh's Syndrome in early 2009 which resulted in a partial loss of
kidney
function (it was stage 5 renal
failure
with less than 15% functionality but I have since recovered to about 60% ish total renal function).

THINING SKIN AFTER KIDNEY TRANSPLANT
I have extremely thin skin since my transplant 17 months ago. I am still on high dosages of cellcept due to rejection issues. My arms, in particular, bruise very easily. Just scratching my arms will leave red marks that take weeks to disappear. I use Cera Ve moisturizer 2x a day and Eucerin Moisturizer

Hiya, first time, exclusively breastfeeding, Mum of an almost 6wk old little girl here. So far baba has been very calm and chilled but the last few days she’s been having some hellish screaming fits for apparently no reason, hard to console/feed/put down etc. think it’s Colic (?). Although I know there

Is your GFR in the tank from a creatinine test?
My doctor basically said I'm in stage 3
kidney
failure
which induced plenty of stress. I decided to pay extra to get the more sensitive cyastatin-C test which isn't based on muscle breakdown of creatine into creatinine which can cause false readings and diagnosis.

Use of NSAID SOONER?
Pain Relief? How to manage, or try to manage. I have prescriptions for celecoxib and etoricoxib. I usually try to cope without either, then as pain gets worse try regular paracetamol. Only when I am desperate do I start with the NSAID. Is this the right approach? Should I start with the NSAID sooner

I promised to share when info came out. It's good news.
Some of you know that I am in the second part of this Exceptional Responders study. There's some good and interesting news out of the first cohort. "The findings from a recent study of patients with cancer who had an exceptional response to chemotherapy are yielding new clues on the molecular changes
