Decreased urine output suddenly

I have never faced this problem but today I have noticed reduced urine output (around 500 ML) after drinking 3 litres of water. My last gfr one month before was 25. I have never seen swelling but today in feet, there is some swelling. I am very tensed. I don't know what happening?? Are kidneys failing

Kidney function test

Like a great number of us on the site, I take a daily anti-coagulant. Next week I have a blood test for kidney and liver function and am curious to know more about how I might understand the results. Can anyone tell me how to read the figures that come back - what signifies healthy functioning or otherwise

GFR down from 41 to 31 in 6 weeks.

For the last 12 months I have been trying to improve my GFR/creatinine by reducing protein and eating only plant protein, 12 months ago my GFR was 48 and up to this latest result it has been in the mid 40's range. Everything apart from creatinine has been bang in the middle of normal. I'm a 73 year

Triptorelin GnRH-a 2nd shot due

I’m due excision at end of August & surgeon started me on Triptorelin GnRH-a injection to reduce pain and shrink cysts & whatever else is going on inside. I feel my pain has significantly increased so wondering if I should really have the second shot, that is due in two weeks time? What are your thoughts

BK virus after kidney transplant

I'm three weeks post transplant, everything looks good and I'm feeling good, no obvious side effects from medication. However this morning, I was told they found BK virus in my urine with 5 log/ml. If this keeps increasing it make eventually leak into the kidney and hurt it, and there is no effective

My partner (f 48) was transferred per emergency to a Northern hospital with liver failure - during the first 5 days she was held on a ward where othing was done except giving her blood (7 units) and antibio's (Just to note that on this ward she contracted Cov19 and it was a so called "Green Ward" = virus

MMF and Myforctic

Anyone else had bad side effects with these tablets? Was first put on MMF late summer 2018 after the lupus came back with a bang, within a few days I'd noticed that toilet visits were becoming a lot more regular. Men's blood contains greater concentrations of enzyme that helps COVID-19 infect cells.

Evidence from a large study of several thousand patients shows that men have higher concentrations of angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) in their blood than women. Since ACE2 enables the coronavirus to infect healthy cells, this may help to explain why men are more vulnerable to COVID-19 than women
