B12 and omeprazole
Hi, I need advice re B12 and omeprazole. My hubby has bronchiectasis, rheumatoid arthritis, hypothyroidism and severe peripheral neuropathy but not pernicious anaemia. However this site seems the most informative about B12. My hubby saw a neurologist a few days ago and he is writing to GP to say hubby

GERD
Just wanted to know about people’s experience with omeprazole. Ive just been prescribed it because I have bad acid and my oesophagus has been damaged due to acid. However, I’ve heard of a connection with GERD and asthma and I have noticed that since I’ve taken the medication, my asthma seems better too

Phoned GP surgery to advise that despite emails and telephone calls my repeat prescription is not providing adequate medication to last until the next repeat prescription. So today I phoned and pointed out that I continually need an emergency supply as it runs out due to GP advising me to double up

When can I take my Prednisolone?
Hello! On being dropped from 9 mg to 8 mg 2 weeks ago ( 15mg initially in May) I have had a huge flare up and am now BACK on 15mg for a while. However, I have told GP I really want to see a Rheumatologist and, because of very long waiting list, am going to see one privately next month - so fingers

Omeprazole
Is anyone on omeprazole constantly? I have been on them since March along with 10mg daily prednisolone. I have just read on the leaflet that you shouldn't be on them longer than 14 days? Also been feeling nauseous in bed a few nights lately, anyone else feeling this?

Hiatus hernia/A and E
Hi, I posted a while ago about my hiatus hernia/reflux problems. A few days ago we had to cut short our break away and set off home at 1am to get back to our local hospital as I was in so much pain. Doc in emergency dept thought it could be a duodenal ulcer but referred me to the assessment dept who

Update After 3 Cabazitaxel Treatments.
I am receiving chemotherapy every three weeks. I had my 3rd infusion on Thursday, November 4. The good news is that I have been tolerating Cabazitaxel much better than expected so far. I have been forcing myself to get on the elliptical machine in my house 3 to 5 times per week. The ignition is difficult

Acid Reflux / TMJ
Currently had Acid Reflux for 11 months....taken omeprazole and now on lanzaprazole...neither which seem to work. I have went gluten free as bread seemed to be a trigger but no luck in clearing symptoms. I am getting a endoscopy in a few weeks as the specialist believes it may be a hiatal hernia. Added

Hi, apart from my osteoporosis I was diagnosed with hiatus hernia years ago and been taking lansoprazole since. A few weeks ago my belching and really uncomfortable stomach got worse and doc prescribed esomeprazole. I have good and bad days but it's really getting me down. Apart from the stomach problems

omeprazole and prednisolone timing optimization?
hello! going to write an update in a bit, but... short question is easy. I'm trying to do the best for my digestive tract that I can. I'm having not as much luck finding factual and sometimes even anecdotal information out about when to take the myriad of medicine i must over the course of the day.

Omeprazole and Lansoprazole
I noticed on a friend's Omeprazole leaflet in her box of tablets that you can now take these with food, whereas the Lansoprazole leaflet for my tablets says to take half an hour before food. I thought these two types of tablets were pretty much the same before reading this!

Constant cold
I seem to have this cold that just won’t go away. I just start feeling a bit better then it flares up again. Had it around 6-weeks. I take methotrexate hydroxychloroquine Certrizine folic acid b12 tablets vitamin D tablets and esomeprazole. How can I get rid of this cold?

2 Yrs without Omeprazole- Now they want me start taking again!
I've had PMR for 7 years, during the last year I've got down to 4mgs Pred a day, split early morning and evening ( 2 + 2) My electronic request for tablets has been approved, as per normal. This morning I get a text from a prescription clerk, saying they've added Omeprazole to the request as taking Steroids

A Few Months of Tendon Issues
Good morning to you all! Over the last few months I have managed to damage a calf tendon, achilles heel and a tendon in my right elbow (particularly debilitating). This seemed a little unusual as none of the events occurred due to heavy lifting or exercise. I did an online search - as you do - and found

Should I be taking Prednisolone and Calcium at the same time?
Hi all - quick question, if anyone can advise me? I've read somewhere that you should not take prednisolone (currently I'm on 10mg) at the same time as calcium tablets (Evacal D3 1500 mg/400iu - two tablets a day). Anyone know if that's true, and if so how much of a time gap should be left between them
