Iron levels normal
If my
iron
levels are within range is there any chance taking an
iron
supplement would be beneficial? I know too much is dangerous. Sorry if answer is obvious, but I'm desperate.

New Medichecks Results - grateful for any thoughts…advice…
And also an
iron
supplement and test again in 12 weeks. **I’ve seen the oral
iron
spray and wondered if that would be any good/ok as the vit d spray seems to be working for me? Then the medi gp said “Your tsh has reduced to 0.187, whilst your T3 and thyroxine are stable.

Iron Panel results - thoughts please!
I eat pumpkin seeds every day and regularly eat
iron
rich veggies so I don't understand where I'm going wrong. I 100% have symptoms of low
iron
all the time... Thanks so much for any feedback. GTS

RLS in MS patients
The study suggests it may be caused by low brain
iron
, inflammation or spinal cord scarring. Those on higher efficacy MS drugs (Ocrevus & Fingomolid) seem to have worse RLS than those on the older, less effective MS drugs(Interferons, Aubagio) which is the opposite of what I would expect.

Thinking About Trazodone? Think Again.
I doubled my
iron
and all was fine. Since October I’ve been taking 50mg of Trazodone every night. I have developed “sleep anxiety” whenever I have an early morning meeting, doctors appointment, etc and I know that type of anxiety is best treated with anti-anxiety meds, not sleeping pills.

Been a while
I'm told it will repair itself, as I’m now taking
iron
tablets, I’ve increased my seafood and red meat too. They are wondering why I became anemic in the first place.

Getting tested after taking any supplements...
I will also keep a close eye on my ferritin as he treated that too with an infusion (also
iron
flu is NO joke, but I have turned the corner finally), and my folate, plus my vitamin D which is insufficient.

TSH dropping, but FT4 stuck
Having taken advice on here previously I know you need to know other levels, I have been supplementing with:
Iron
/vit C to tackle my low ferritin (was 18ug/L in September23, now (March 24) 44ug/L range11 to 307) VitB12 injections (was 213ng/L in August - range above 203) - no new test on the basis

Iron - wishful thinking
All too often, I think
iron
gets viewed as an issue you get suffer because of something else. Not important enough in its own right to need, to deserve, a separate forum.

As I understand my vit d, b12,
iron
and folate need to be optimum? In what time do you raise and retest again? I’m assuming that 1.5 was my dose and that I went too high too fast. Appreciate any insights.

Iron Infusion Attempt
This week I saw Dr Robin Fackrell privately at Bath Sulis Hospital to discuss whether an
iron
infusion would be an appropriate way forward for me and if so how I could progress this.

Update for my daughter re loading injections. and the rest.
Honestly the
Iron
Panel Medichecks versus Gp NHS results -saga just rumbles on. The GP said she could see my daughter's ferritin looked low (29 (15-300 NHS test) so suggested
iron
tablets EOD.

First SI, the pain, ouch!
I have been taking high dose
iron
as was severely deficient but this has not caused me any gastro effects apart from mild constipation alleviated by Vit C. 2. Is this normal for IM injected muscles to go on aching for so long? Not sure I can take this reaction every other day. 3.

The isolated drop in total
iron
binding capacity is probably not significant as the rest of the
iron
storage results (
Iron
, transferrin saturation and ferritin) are all within range." Which one is it Graves or Hashimoto's?
