Hey all, As you all know I have been struggling for quite some time with a lot of symptoms . I was back home at the weekend and decided to do bloods for vitamins etc. The good news is that my ferritin has gone up by 15% in a few months of taking Floradix, also my b12 is top range, folate same. Type II Diabetes and Blood Glucose Testing
As mentioned before I am a firm believer of BG testing for Type IIs even if not on insulin. Whilst the HbA1c gives a good indication of average BG it does not show how it was achieved. Research shows that if BG stays in a narrower band the chance of complications are reduced compared to the same HbA1c

Keto questions
I've been hearing a lot about keto recently, and I'm planning to give it a go. I have a few questions, and figure this is the best place to ask! 1. Should you do anything to prepare for keto? I've heard people say it's a good idea to preceed keto with a period of 16:8 fasting, to regulate insulin levels

Really bad hunger attack...
I was getting these really bad hunger attacks since being on prednisone. I assume it is an insulin problem. Have had glucose checked and everything is fine. Since going on very low carbs (about 9 weeks) I have been getting less of these attacks. Yesterday I had a rare attack of hunger and shaking .

What happens when the insulin gets frozen
Hi friends I have read it on various forums that when the insulin vials/cartridges are kept at 30 or 34 degrees C (higher than the recommended temperature), its efficiency may go down by a few percentages. Does a similar effect take place when the insulin gets frozen, i.e., efficiency goes down? or it

Why is Intermittent fasting so popular BBC article.
Hi everyone. Here's an article from the BBC about why IF is so popular, I found the part about insulin levels after fasting interested me as sugar spikes are important to all of us. I think that it's great that IF is in the news and in a positive way. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-48478529 The

Anyone used self- injector pen for b12?
I am a whimp, despite having insulin dependent diabetes and thus inject daily, I am thinking I need to start self injecting B12 more frequently than NHS/ surgery offer. Been looking at website wedgewood highlighted for Danish firm unionmedico.com. I’m assuming i’d need intra muscle device, and was looking

Intermittent Fasting and Keto: The Pros and Cons
Intermittent fasting (IF) and ketogenic diets are all the rage now. They both promote fat burning. But how well do these two approaches combine? Ketogenic diets promote fat burning by restricting carbs, which forces you to rely more on dietary fat. IF restricts all calories for a large part of the day
