Pramipexole
I had reduced prami very slowly from 5 x.088 down to two at night. After hols I decided to go cold turkey and stop. I take 2 tramadol x 50mg at 7oc. Quit alcahol as twas a trigger. I stay up as long as I can and about an hr before bedtime take 1mg Noctamid n sleep right thru. I don't want to become dependent

Dad’s NGS ( genetic) reports
Had posted this earlier but am reposting. These is the summary from dad’s genetic testing report. The detailed numbers report is attached in the reply section below As of now he is on hormone therapy. Does the report indicate more options for him in the future Thanks 😊

Low Ferritin
In May of this year my Ferritin level was 11 (range 15-200) and I was given Ferrous Fumarate and told to have bloods done again in a few months. My recent results were 19. I know Ferritin levels are notoriously slow to rise but I was surprised at the very slow progress....Does this seem right?

Treatment Preferences in Patients with Hypothyroidism: an Analysis of Eleven Randomized Controlled Trials
I have only read this abstract - once, and very quickly - hence no real comments. But patients preferring combination treatment is hardly a surprise. We'd probably prefer our own nicely working thyroid - which would be producing T4 and T3. Wouldn't it? [i]Treatment Preferences in Patients with Hypothyroidism

Blood sugar levels
I've read that Prednisolone can spike blood sugar levels. I have a strong family history of late onset type 2 diabetes through the generations. I have ordered a blood glucose monitor, I thought it might be a good idea, like I monitor my blood pressure too.

"Pros and Cons of Various Forms of Radiation Therapy vs Radical Prostatectomy for Men in Their 50s"
I have been diagnosed with intermediate non-favorable risk prostate cancer. Currently, we are conducting Decipher testing along with PSMA PET and genetic testing. My father is a prostate cancer survivor; he had brachytherapy 12 years ago, then experienced a recurrence at 78 and underwent intensity-modulated

am I pregnant? Is it my period starting?? Or is it implantation bleeding?
Me and my boyfriend have had unprotected sex a bunch of times and usually we are fine. We did it recently. I just got on birth control I think for almost 3 weeks I’ve been on it? And suddenly my discharge has started to change it was a bit of a yellowish color at first so I thought maybe it was an infection

Severe RLS Augmentation on Pramipexole
I just discovered this wonderful site. I am 69, female, and live in Quebec, Canada. I have had RLS since I my youth and can identify with so many of your struggles. When officially diagnosed in my 20’s, I was prescribed clonazepam which helped for a few years. I then was referred to a neurologist and

For ladies with unexplained infertility
Hello ladies As I approach my 12th week of pregnancy I thought I'd share what I did differently in hopes that it helps someone in a similar position. I have had 7 miscarriages previously and 5 of them ended between 4 - 5 weeks. Every time it was the same pattern. I had no issue conceiving but I kept

How is everyone doing lately with their PBC? For some of us, the temps are cooler - maybe helping with less itching. Do you feel you are still living life as best you can despite any of the symptoms that may occur unexpectedly in your day? We all have PBC so differently, don't we? I hope you all try

Dad’s genetic testing report - any insights please
Got this NGS report from the genetic testing lab for dad , 83. He has metastates to various bones but no organs. Currently on Orgovyx and Xtandi 120 mg. Seems to be tolerating them well apart from hot flashes. Will be doing bloodwork this week and meeting the MO Would appreciate any insights

Why still low Iron
Hi everyone, Firstly, I wanted to mention that I'm trying my best to remain resilient through this rollercoaster of hormonal fluctuations, but I must admit, I do falter at times. Today, I find myself confined to bed, feeling rather overwhelmed. However, knowing that there are others who can relate keeps

I have have been diagnosed with an under-active thyroid for about 20 years. As an ex-nurse it is my understanding that if it is broken it isn’t going to start working again! But my last blood results came back showing FREE T4 @ 52.8 normal-7.9 -16 serum THS 1.8 ( 0.3 -5.0) On 27/03/24 the results

Stage 4
I'm a 77 year old male and after bouncing around in Stage 3b for a couple of years I started to get much lower results of 30 or 33, then my latest is Stage 4 at 26 eGFR. All other renal profile serum results are normal and my urine tests for albumin/creatinine ratio are normal. I've cut out added sugar

I have developed eczema to the extent that I now have an itchy rash on large areas of my body. This has happened over the last few days and I have decided I want to have an allergy test as seeking the answer by food elimination is not working. can anyone recommend a self test before I approach my GP
