There's some left in the ampoule - is it ok?
I know, I know, another daft question but here goes. I have just done my third injection on my own (rather chuffed) and I've only just realised that once the 1ml insulin syringe is full there is still about 1/4 to 1/3 of the stuff left in the ampoule. Am I missing something? Which is the correct dose

New on this programme
Just joined and I have a LOT of weight to lose. Tried various different methods in the past, but I struggle due to PCOS (which has affected my insulin resistance) and spending at least half my time on the road, which in turn means I eat out. A lot. So, looking forward to getting back in control, hopefully

Hi All, My diabetes T2 was diagnosed in Feb 2016. After going thru several hours of research and because I am a non-believer of allopathic medicines, I decided to follow Dr.Fungs methodology. Started with LCHF ( Dr.Fungs) chart of recommended food and IF from 11th April 2016. Before this I had my tests

a-Amylase
https://www.ebi.ac.uk/interpro/potm/2006_2/Page2.htm Microorganisms, higher plants, and animals produce a large number of different protein inhibitors of a-amylases in order to regulate the activity of these enzymes. These inhibitors can be grouped into six classes based on their tertiary structures

Can I fill a 1ml syringe with a fixed 8mm needle?
I know this sounds thick, but if I manage to buy ampoules of B12, can I fill them using a fixed insulin syringe with an 8mm hypodermic? And can anyone direct me to a video on how do do it all for subcutaneous injections, please? The only videos i can find on youtube are all (scream) intramuscular. thanks

Got to do something about my anger at ... doctors.
I cannot believe that I have put up with this for the last 8 years, since my really nice and on-the-ball GP left the practice. Yesterday I went to the appointment with the GP, Iron Knickers, that I had had to book 3 weeks ago after waiting online at patient.emissaccess (online booking) for her next tranche

Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 46
Hello all, I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in early April of this year. Was informed i'm a rare case because I developed Type 1 so late in life. I'm not new to the disease itself . I'ts been in my family for years. I seem to be adjusting well to being insulin dependent and checking my blood sugars

Healing beta cells without drugs
Can improved diet, stress reduction, and/or exercise heal beta cells? If “resting” them is important,
eating fewer carbohydrates should give them a chance to recover.
