Free Triiodothyronine/Free Thyroxine Ratio rather than Thyrotropin is more associated with Metabolic Parameters in Healthy Euthyroid Adults
Just how healthy were the subjects that any of them went on to develop metabolic syndrome? Nonetheless, this is interesting in that it reinforces the importance of FT3 (even just as it relates to FT4 to produce the FT3:FT4 ratio) and reduces, again, the power of the TSH test. This past Monday I started my first chemo treatments and my daily radiation. I can say I was so fearful of all of it! The unknown. I go to two different treatment faucilities and everyone from the receptionist on is so professional and informative. I was very impressed. Even patients were very nice

What "should" I be feeling like?
I've had GCA for 3 years now and my prednisolone dose is down to 5mg. I had thought that by now I would be feeling a lot closer to "normal" than I actually am. I still feel extreme exhaustion, like being completely drained of energy, not really tired. Also as if I have permanent flu. I have very bad

Fibroscan question
I have a question about fibroscan. I had a result of 10.2 today and they have scheduled a biopsy. Can anyone give me any feedback on if this is reversible? I'm 46 year old female who is insulin resistant and I do not drink. I'm 5'2" weigh 135 lbs. Thank you

More Metabolomics
To begin at the beginning, probably the first thyroid question I ever asked was "What does thyroid hormone do?" Yes - we hear that thyroid hormone controls metabolism. Yes - we see that it reduces cholesterol. And several other effects. But we very rarely hear the details - it tends to be very much

T-2 since diagnosis in 1989, however, symptoms were back in 1984 while in the military. Fitness and nutrition has to be a permanent thing.
I love helping people and listening to them. Solutions are easy or very complex. Listening and working with someone is half the battle as well as having an open mind. I am presently feeling great affects from a detox regime that has caused my pancreas to wake up and as a result, taking less insulin

Prostate Cancer & Hormones - Insulin-like growth factor [IGF] axis.
Apologies for the length of this post. Some bits will be easy - skip the rest. Much has been written about PCa & insulin-like growth factor [IGF]. Although IGF is associated with PCa risk, studies are not unaminous. For the purpose of this post, I will not dwell on IGF as a causative risk factor,
