I am currently on large doses of Vit D for my deficiency at 25000iu twice a week. I see on here K2 is recommended when taking D3 and this

Upon leaving hospital until now, I gained 21lb, seven of which were put on in 1 week after inducing a calorie controlled diet of between 1200-1400 calories a day. I have

It occurred to me the other day that the only people who seem to be happy with the treatment endos provide consistantly are diabetics. I dont think there is a blood test to measure insulin. Am I crazy or do I need closer timed shots?
New here! I'm 36 and was diagnosed with Pernicious Anemia 2 years ago. (Thought I had narcolepsy! But asked for a blood test and found out I had almost no B12!) ANYWAY, so every general doctor I've had always says I can only have 1 shot a month, though I would like more. (That first month when I was

Starting NatureThroid...Again; SIDE EFFECTS or something else?
Hi All...so I am now on a waiting list for a doc who supposedly treats hashis/hypothyroid with diligence (trying to think positive, but not holding my breathe though....) However the wait is at least, 6 months...I can't wait that long. I have a refill of the NT that my first private doctor prescribed

When Should You Test Your Blood Sugar
•NOTE; Many in this forum, specially new members have asked this question many times and in spite of some experienced diabetics explaining it,, the question is getting repeated frequently. This shows the importance a newly diagnosed diabetic attachés to ascertain the information authenticated by a medical

Please help - hypo, RT3, malabsorption, distention, high testosterone. Euthroid sick? Interpretation and direction desperately sought.
Hi All, I'm new so apologies if I'm asking terribly pedestrian questions. I am suffering with all classic hypo symptoms including fatigue, weight gain (that not even the LVCDs change at all now), insomnia, brittle nails, coarse hair/hair loss/, puffy face (puffy everything actually, it basically feels

New here. Pre-diabetic and looking for advice.
I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic a few weeks ago. My blood sugar was very high and I was told I was on my way to needing insulin shots. Because of that, I switched my diet immediately over to a low carb one. I've been cutting out carbs in general but mainly sugars. I do still eat vegetables and a bit

Study finds some insulin production in almost half of Type-1 diabetic.
Some insulin is still produced in almost half of the patients that have had type 1 diabetes for more than ten years. The study conducted by researchers at Uppsala University in Sweden has now been published online by the medical journal Diabetes Care. See the link- http://www.news-medical.net/news

IT IS --Yes it is Insulin...
http://www.tuitnutrition.com/2015/09/its-the-insulin-1.html With the help of some very cool people in the low-carb, high-fat (LCHF) world, I have been introduced to a new concept—well, new to me, but certainly not “new” at all—and I’d like to share it with you. There’s a lot to talk about, but the overall

Hi there ladies, I'm proper p***ed off my operation has been cancelled for next month. My blood sugar had other ideas my hba1c has come back at 89 and my levels should be 69 or below. Yet I'm taking insulin every day even some days I have a hypo. So I can't understand why it's shot through the roof.

New one
Hi I am new here Just got my diagnosis a few weeks ago. Hard to believe but I am stage 4 kidney failure. Unfortunately diagnosed after a biopsy was done. I have only been diabetic and on insulin for about 2 years and was keeping it under control I thought. I am very scared of ending up on dialysis

Should I be concerned about pre diabetes?
Hi Everyone. My family has a history of diabetes and I'm 34 years old. I just got some labs back that shows my hba1c as normal, but my insulin over the range at 29.35. I remember having 1 banana about 1.5 hours before the test but nothing else apart from a glass of water. Would a banana spike insulin
