Since being diagnosed with cirrhosis in 2016 and oesophageal varices my whole world has changed for the better, I was an alcoholic for many years and I’ve lead one heck of a life even though I’m only 42, I’ve also got Conary heart disease in which I’ve had multiple stents and I’m also a type 2 diabetic

I have type 2 diabetes and on 3 tablets which has now been changed to 2 and one of the others has been doubled. If this doesn't work in 3 months I will have to go on insulin I have over 30 chronic medical conditions so can't bend down so have to pay to have my toenails cut. My friend told me this isn't

Seeking a neurologist
I am diabetic on insulin and currently having burning and extremely hot feelings in my feet. I have been advised by family doctor to see a neurologist. Can someone suggest a neurologist in GTA who specializes in diabetic related issues like this.

I don’t feel like taking my much needed anti-depressant. But I’ve been down this road before with disastrous results. I will probably need meds for the rest of my life. My doctor said it’s the same as a diabetic who needs their insulin but I have trouble believing him. I’ve been having the same thought

Diabetes Type 2 finally.
Have mentioned this in a reply to another post. Today my doctor has prescribed me Metformin to address my blood sugar levels. I have tried (not massively but I have tried) to address my insulin resistant body but to no avail. I am sick and tired of saying to myself, you can't have that, you shouldn't

Amenorrhea over 2.5 years
Hello. I'm posting here on behalf of my almost 18 year old daughter. She started menstruating two days before her 12th birthday. She has pretty much only had a couple hard periods in her life, otherwise, a light bleeder. She started running cross country and track for her middle and then high school

Thyroid Results - Currently on strict protein ONLY diet
Below are my thyroid results. While I am very happy about this, I am not sure if they are optimum. I am sure they have improved over last few months as I removed all insulin spiking foods but still don't know if they are optimum. The T4 and T3 seem borderline to me. What are the symptoms of being borderline

2rd Post Series Part 1
Drug action information and diagnosis In My post “Post 1 Part 3” I attempted to describe my thinking on the concept of Stress Breakdown Point. Graph 1 in the “Post 1 Part 3” post indicated that a small change in stress could make a lot of difference in quality of life for people with chronic health

Thyroid hormones modulate uric acid metabolism in patients with recent onset subclinical hypothyroidism by improving insulin sensitivity

Hyperparathyroidcalcimia and LADA
I am need of some help here. I have hyperparathyroidcalcimia and LADA. The thyroid is growing in an odd shape, possibly cancer, and I am having problems with my weight. I have read some of the articles and some of you are taking medications for the thyroid, which I am not and some suggest the Leptin

Damn the Torpedoes. Part 3. Fasting, Hunger and satiety.
Now, I’ll be the first to admit that the regime I am undertaking is extreme and as such there should be hunger and satiety issues. There aren’t! Let me give you an example. Last Saturday I had a carb frenzy at my mother in law’s. Shepherds pie with carrot, broccoli, cauliflower and sprouts followed

Diabetic Foot complications.
I have been a diabetic since 2001. For a few years tried to control My BS levels by popular ayurvedic medicines etc. Since 2006, after a throat infection, I was advised to take insulin. And since then I have been taking Mixtard 30 twice a day. My sugar was poorly managed for quite some time. HbA1C reports

I got my energy back and got rid of all the symptoms...
I got rid of my symptoms when I got enough potassium. It took me some time to find out (browsing research results on pubmed) that one of the reasons hyperthyroidism can be dangerous is that high levels of thyroid hormone depletes the body of potassium. Together with the fact that many of the side effects

Damn the Torpedoes Part 1. Introduction.
Ok folks, on the back of my previous post here’s my program for the coming two or three weeks. This was to have been one long post, but as there is a lot of ground to cover, I will break it up into more manageable chunks. But before we go there here’s a little background. I am 69 years old, weigh 176

SUGAR
https://thyroidresetsummit.com/expert/brian-mowll/ This Thyroid Reset Summit has been going on for a few days. This particular talk has brought up the problem with sugar and starch we may not understand. Did you know you only need one teaspoon (4-5-grams) in your bloodstream at any given time. So

Medichecks Cortisol saliva tests back - advice please
Hi, I wonder if anyone can help please. I am trying to get to the route of my problems and so far ruled out Hashimotos so I must be in the 10% that doesn't have Hashimotos. My insulin levels are slightly raised (last medichecks test last November) but I had a lot of symptoms that indicated adrenal dysfunction
