Tissue RNA expression of DIO1, DIO2, and DIO3
Another article by thyroidpatientsca published on June 25, 2020. These days, we see quite a lot of appreciation of the DIO2 gene - and why variants can affect thyroid hormones in our bodies. Albeit it mostly in the form of patients asking about it and testing. But we see next to nothing beyond that

I have a question for you amazing people please . about liothyronine blood levels
I am on liothyronine only . I note like many of you have said that unlike other illnesses when we have our bloods checked the level of t3 is checked . So it's a test of the level of the drug we take . Unlike say diabetes where someone takes insulin but gets sugar levels checked and ketone levels but

The last year...
Since my post last year, my RUQ pain still comes and goes. However, I now have chronic, widespread pain and extreme fatigue. I was diagnosed with neuropathy after nerve conduction studies and myopathy after EMG & muscle biopsy. My vitamin D is low so I've been put on D3. Other abnormal labs are c reactive

Thanks for welcoming me into your group, I came about it whilst browsing online. My situation: Male 54, Type 1 diabetic (23 years well controlled) insulin pump and self fund Constant Glucose Monitor. Since lockdown/pandemic I have fitted the criteria for IBS, and it has been the same ever since. Either

***Sensitive Birth Announcement ***
I seriously can’t believe that I’m writing this post on here. I’m a stage 3-4 endo sufferer. After 10 years of struggle , 9 ivfs🥵, 4 surgeries, 1 ectopic and an emergency life threatening surgery, miscarriages, I am here . I have had lost all hopes that I would ever be able to write this post on here

Lingual tonsils???
Just wondering has anyone had problems with their lingual tonsils and if so what was your experience with it? What symptoms did you have? How’d you get diagnosed? How long did it take you to get diagnosed? I’m still not 100% on what’s wrong with me but someone has told me that I could have a problem

Please Tell Me That This Will Work....
I turned 40 in January and decided that this would be the year I sorted my life out (obviously the universe had other ideas given the current situation lol). I am only 5'3" and tipped the scales at 15 stone 9. I have never been this heavy, not even during pregnancy. I have four children and successfully

Good evening, Clearly my TSH & Ferritin is terrible. I had a TT in Nov was on 125 mg but I started on a dose of 150 mg today. I have been given some Ferrous Sulfate tablets to take too. I have kindly been advised that my Ferritin needs to increase to allow my body to abosord my Levo. Please could

Fasting sugar normal but rises before breakfast
My sugar level for fasting at 7.30 is about 90-100 but within an hour at about 8.30 without eating anything it shoots to 170-180. I am on insulin since 22 years but this is strange for me. Any advise
