Muscle stiff at the back and cramps on legs !
I am a 70 Yr old male, having severe back stiffness for the last two days - Can't bend or walk without stinging pain for no apparent reason ! This happened overnight while I was bending to brush my teeth..... I'm type II diabetic and take insulin, under control - My B12 injection every 3 months was delayed

4mm needles
Hi everyone, my daughter is thinking of using 4mm needles to sc inject her vitamin B as she see’s me doing that with insulin with no need to to pinch the skin. Does anyone on here do that please.

I'v had Type1 Diabetes over 40 years now and Graves diagnosis in 2006 (in remission after 18 months treatment with Carbimazole), so I was told that I must have predisposition to other autoimmune conditions and I should look

First day of LCHF lifestyle
Good morning everyone As the title suggests today is the first day of my change for life. After researching and years of yo-yo dieting I came to the conclusion that dieting does not work, what I need is a complete change of lifestyle. I have PCOS which means basically I’m insulin resistant. I think

Trying to get to grips with APS
I’m sorry to be a huge pain but I am on several other HU Forums, not because I do or don’t want to be but because I’ve just learned of yet another diagnosis which medics have found. I just can’t believe it. I’m scared to go anywhere near a surgery, clinic or hospital in case they find anything else

Inulin and psyllium
I just replied to a post with this information which might spark some responses...... I had to include the graph because it really made me laugh! (PS = psyllium, WD = wheat dextrin) The serious bit: - Inulin is a type of fructo-oligosaccharide, or FOS, that helps to feed the "friendly" bacteria in

SALT!
Remember that the average body NEEDS 6gm of salt a day and that it's insulin, not sodium that drives hypertension. Insulin hangs on to sodium, sodium increases blood volume which drives up blood pressure and thus elevates pressure on the kidneys. Typical of anyone with T2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome

Face mask at work
I work in a nursing home and will be expected to return to work in August. I have been out once or twice and worn a mask....but have only been out for short periods. I can manage in a mask for those times however I will have to wear a mask for a 12 hour shift which is very different than half hour.

Carbs/sugar
Hello Basten, been reading your post and replies. There’s a GP on twitter I follow; he’s had outstanding success reversing people’s diabetes, which was achieved by reducing their carbs. All the people lost a lot of weight and many reversed their diabetes or put it in remission and no longer needed their
