For the past two months my tumor marker numbers have increased after having covid in December, each month they both have went up 10 points. I am scheduled to have a Pet scan on next week.Has anyone had this same problem?

Anti Covid treatments for the Immuno-compromised
I wrote the following to my MP on 22nd November last David , we have corresponded about this many times, and I know you are sympathetic to the problem. Things are getting worse, not better, and despite covid numbers falling, many of us are having to become more and more cautious in our already restricted

Covid vaccines
What is the latest regarding Covid booster. I have had 6 vaccines and wondered if I should have another before they finish on the 12th of February. It says on NHS site they may offer a seasonal booster to eligible people later in the year

Sinusitis issues here
Having bout of sinusitis. Taking cefdinir currently, and was prescribed methylprednisolone. I'm afraid to take methylprednisolone for fear of it wiring me up. It's a 6 day course at 4 mg. Confused by instructions if I decide to take it. Until you get down to the last few doses, it says to split it up

ROD HUGHES advice to me
I have taken the recommendation from several of you to have a private consultation with Professor Hughes. I am no longer under the NHS care of any rheumatologist until next July; meanwhile my intake of prednisolone has been going up and up instead of slowly tapering down. I started at 7.5mg per day

Covid action plan, antivirals, steroids etc
Hi all -- I apologize for the frequent posts recently. May I ask whether your GP/Consultant gave you a covid action plan, or if this is available online? I.e. what to do in different scenarios, when (and whom) to ask for antivirals, when to start taking high steroids etc? Several of my colleagues

On ramp for night sweats?
Hello friends, In January I contracted Covid after spending nearly three years. After a day of a stuffy nose and a bite of a bagel that tasted like basswood chips, I took the test and viola, it was positive. My symptoms were thankfully very mild and I never had a fever. One thing I did experience

My Luck Just Ran Out
I am 23+ years post-transplant and have just been told that I have COVID. I have had every COVID vaccine, boosters and 2 dose of Evershed- and I still just got COVID. They usually give Paxlovid now to treat...but not for transplant recipients due to our meds and their. So I am Stuck! My clinic

Severe anxiety disappeared virtually instantly after damp course installed
Is there a connection. I know my anxiety could well be connected to my mental health, but it's weird my off- the - scale anxiety disappeared virtually overnight. My anxiety affected everything I did. I have long covid(pasc) and have memory problems . I thought this was to do with the first wave

Covid finally got me!
After nearly 3 years of dodging Covid and 6 injections, the latest variant has finally got me! Just mild symptoms so far but waiting to hear from NHS re antivirals after I reported my positive test result. I was due to visit my elderly father who is seriously ill in hospital, so that will have to be

COVID - Infectious or Not
I tested positive for COVID on the 26th Dec. Some 6 weeks later I am still showing a very faint line on a LFT. My question is, am I still infectious? My reading suggest that after 10 days you are no longer infectious, but that's for persons with a normal immune system. Is there any medical data

feeling down post transplant
following a successful live donor transplant three years ago I have been finding it difficult to get back to my old self. Shortly after the transplant Covid reared it’s ugly head, I have avoided Covid so far, but feel with Covid still around and my immuno suppressed system I find it difficult to socialise

NHS-approved covid self-tests
Hi all -- I am in need of more lateral covid test kits. Amazon has two types, and reviews to both suggest that the NHS does not recognize them as "official". Has anyone experienced this? I just was able to order my covid test from the NHS b.c. I am eligible for covid treatment, but they may not last

Should I up my Pred while I am fighting Covid?
I have tested positive for Covid & am really poorly. I am on 5 mg and slowly tapering down to 4.5 mg at the moment. Should I increase my Pred while fighting Covid & if so by how much & for how long? Any suggestions please would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Jem

Covid fear
my ocd is about Covid. I’ve had all vaccines and am 65. I have had anxiety since the beginning of the pandemic. I’m afraid my anxiety and insomnia put me at a greater risk for infection. And any positive stories would by helpful! I have a husband and 2 adult children that I need to love and enjoy.

mountain air stone house problems?
I grew up on the coast of Maine, USA, so elevation 0 and wooden houses and salty sea air. I attended college inland in a small city elevation ~100m. But was only there for 4 years and lived half the time in a concrete apartment and the rest in a wooden house. Then I moved to Munich, Germany, elevation

Covid dosage 2023
Can’t believe I’ve got the wretched thing after cheating it for four years 😱😂. I’ve checked out the advised Covid sick day rules from Covid FAQs, thank you for those. I am currently on 6.5mgs and the recommendation is to split a 20mgs dosage - 10mgs morning, 10mgs evening. It seems a lot and I wondered
