Advice on imuran/azathioprine medication.
Hi. My daughter is now 7. She was diagnosed with itp on 10th may 2013. She at that time had a platelet count of 8. I live in ireland and have not met anyone close to where we live who has this condition. She has had a bone marrow biopsy and aspirate which came back normal. All her other blood results

Migraines for 30 years
Migraines have totally ruined my life . They are very severe and when I have a bad one I use imigran injection sometimes 4 times in 24 hours which I know is very unsafe but it's the only thing that helps. I have tried all treatments without success. I would say migraine affects me everyday now to varying

Daughter with autoimmune probs
Unfortunately, she can't be on that forever so her rheum is talking about starting her on
Imuran
or Methotrexate. Her CPK in Sept was 573, her DS DNA was indeterminate (as it has been every time she's had it checked). Now on pred, her labs were normal!

Headaches
I have SLE,Discoid lupus, fibro, liver problems, leukopenia. Apart from all the obvious symptoms the above cause, I also get severe intractable headaches. They come with no warning, they are very debilitating, and can last from 3 days to 11 days. They seem to have a mind of their own! There are no triggers

Free Prescriptions for Asthmatics?
Am I the only one who is uncertain as to why asthma isn't an exclusion criterion for prescription charge payment? I guess I shouldn't be complaining just yet as I still fit neatly in the middle of the bracket that says, '16, 17 or 18 and in full-time education', so I don't pay anyway. But when I get

At least another three months
I have to up the dose of
imuran
as I haven't been on the required dose to qualify for biologics and stay on it for three months regardless of side effects to qualify.

Imuran
seems to be Ok so far, apart form the headache I have now had for 5 weeks and one of the heart medications is making my feet and legs swell up like balloons, but I will be off that in a week or so as I prepare for my cardiac ablation on the 21st of March.

Migraines getting worse
Hi everyone I'm new here. Just a bit of background I have suffered with migraines since I was about 13 (when I started my period) they are hormonal. I don't think I have any actual triggers like food smell etc just hormonal I think. I have been tried on some different preventative the first was pizotofen
