Advice needed- Return to the workplace after working from home due to being immunosuppressed.
I take MMF 3g a day, Rituximab infusions every 6 months, hydroxychloroquine, prednisolone and other medication. I've been advised that I will be expected to return to the office once FFP3 facemasks are provided. I feel very uncomfortable about returning to work as it is a public facing role. I wondered

Dupuytren
Since there is no forum I can find, I was wondering if anyone knows anything about Dupuytren's contracture and possible successful treatments. I can't get hold of my GP and I am immunosuppressed.

3rd Primary Dose - Covid 19 Vaccinations
I thought I'd post a new comment to help clear up any confusion. A third primary dose is not a booster, even if your GP surgery may call it that. I've just come back from having my 3rd primary dose, though when the surgery booked me they called it a booster. Those of use who have PMR and who have been

Scottish Chief Medical Officer letter re 3rd primary vaccines specifically
Bit late coming, but here finally is the letter from the Scottish Chief Medical Officer re the rollout of 3rd primary doses for the severely immunosuppressed. Many Scottish health boards are already booking in patients for these, with appointments showing up initially on the Scottish Covid vaccination

why don’t things go smoothly?
Well dressings off this morning after op been blind since yesterday. It nearly didn’t go a head as my PCR tests hadn’t being sent to the NHS. They had taken me off the lists. I had the results on my phone and hubby’s mate is theatre manager so he got me back on the list. Also first one down ğŸ˜

Immunosuppressed
I had PMR 13 years ago which was diagnosed eventuallyby my physio daughter when I visited her in London. I had what I think of now as typica PMR . My GP was very hazy about PMR but after a blood test that I requested she phoned to say my ESR was 70 and she had left me out some tablets. So was started

Checking for Scottish 3rd primary vaccine appointments
I’ve been checking the Scottish Covid vaccines appointment online system for some days, hoping a 3rd vaccine appointment would show up there before I’m contacted. There wasn’t a new appointment at 6.15pm tonight but I just checked again and I have one, for just over a week’s time, in Dundee city centre

Bug bites and immunosuppressants
I am curious if anyone still has “normal” skin reactions to bug bites while on
immunosuppressants
. I have read that bug bites can be life-threatening with a weakened immune system.

Scottish Chief Medical Officer update re boosters and 3rd primary vaccines
Here is an update today from the Scottish Chief Medical Officer explaining the plans for both the booster and also the third primary vaccine (not booster) for severely immunosuppressed people. So hopefully Scottish GPs and consultants etc will be a bit clearer about things. I’m happier personally now

Third covid jab
Has anyone received the third covid jab yet?, not the standard booster one , I’m in the group that falls into the immunosuppressant category but I’ve still not heard anything, my gp doesn’t seem to know anything other than the booster programme will be starting soon, but according to JCVI people in this

Suggestions for living as an immunocompromised person... been hospitalized for bacterial meningitis, sepsis, and pleural effusion 9 days.
Looking for tips to stay positive and safe in the midst of existing on
immunosuppressants
. Just started Aza two months ago and have found myself near death this week with sepsis and bacterial meningitis.

I’m new here
I’ve read lots about the immunosuppressed receiving a additional Covid jab in the UK but my GP says that they are not yet available. Has anyone had the third jab yet?

3rd covid jab for immunosuppressed (England)
Hi all I had my 3rd covid jab today after being called by GP yesterday so the top ups are now happening. The criteria is fairly narrow but can be found on the JCVI recommendations - I'll try and find the link. The surgery was keen to stress that the immunosuppressed need a three dose regime and I will

Supplements during Covid
Its concerning since
immunosuppressants
are doing the opposite. I think 🤔 I know of people loading up on zinc, vitamin C & D, etc. I'm just on my regular multivitamin and calcium. Think I'm having an attack of FOMO (FEAR OF MISSING OUT) Thanks guys 😘😘
