Breast Cancer/CLL
Choi told me to stop the
Imbruvica
the day before treatment. He also said the up side may be that the chemo may suppress the CLL for sometime. However I am unmutated so who knows. I’m waiting to get the call to start treatment. One more hill to climb! Pam

Does anyone know if the Indian pharmaceutical industry has good result in the treatment of CLL 17p?
He has to take
imbruvica
for all his life. We live on Chile and the cost of the 120 capsules is overwhelming (11000 USD) and because it is a very uncommon disease here in Chile, there is no health plan support for buying it.

Curious lumps
Through this website I learned that the
imbruvica
venetoclax was not FDA approved he will go to bat for me and argue my case to get approval. Even if they do not approve the drug combination, the venetoclax was no where near as expensive as the

Imbruvica Bruising
As posted before, I have been on 240mg of
Imbruvica
for 10 weeks and most of the side effects are tolerable. However, lately I have been getting Bruises the size of Silver Dollars and they are sore. I have a little bump on each one. Question would be... do these ever go away with time.

Imbruvica and anemia
I've been on
imbruvica
for over 3 years and this hasn't happened before. I'm wondering if the medicines about to quit working or is this just something temporary. Has anyone else experienced this?

Fatigue and imbruvica
I've been on
imbruvica
for about the last three and a half years. My counts are steady. For example, WBC was 11.1, RBC 3.65, HGB 12.5, platelets 62, and my lymphocytes were 8.9. Some days I feel pretty good. Other days I'm tired I get up about 7 am. I never feel like going out after 5 PM.

Insurance trouble with Imbruvica
I have Waldenstroms and have been on
Imbruvica
(420mg per day) so thats 90 capsules per month for 1 year and it is working great for me. I have a cadillac plan with United HealthCare and have been paying a $10 co pay for the last year.

Time for treatment decision
There is a 50/50 split where 320 patients get obinutuzumag (gazyva) and Ibrutinib (
imbruvica
) and the other 320 patients get these two drugs along with venetoclax. I’m so confused on what to do. If I choose to not partake in the study I will get obinutuzurnab and Ibrutinib.

Advice
I have been on
Imbruvica
for about 18 months. I’m doing very well with great blood work. However, last week I received the news that I have breast cancer. Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. The good news is it is hormone and HER2 negative. I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen.

venclexta and Imbruvica both owned by same company
Just for thought- i copied a paragraph from an article i read The study was supported by AbbVie, the manufacturer of venetoclax. AbbVie also owns Pharmacyclics, the manufacturer of ibrutinib . Several authors report relationships with industry, including AbbVie, as detailed in the article. Wiestner
