on the list for laparoscopy!
I had my consultation today in the endometriosis clinic and although the consultant was a little bit blunt, he has put me on the waiting list for a diagnostic laparoscopy which I'm so relieved about. It's the outcome I wanted. Now of course is the waiting period! I do work at the hospital where I'll

Very ill since HRT and Moderna vaccine ….
Hi. Overactive for a few years then radioactive treatment causes me to go under active for the last 18 years. Menopause meant I was fitted with a more a coil 8 months ago to help symptoms and now trying HRT estradiol gel for three months so far. Huge weight gain but could also be because of poor diet

My copper coil in 10 years
Hi I had my coil removed yesterday after 10 years. Its not a pretty sight, worrying in fact. The health professionals said nothing to me about it or what it looks like. In fact they couldn't wait to throw it in the bin before I could see it. When I asked to see it I got so much resistance I had to insist

Merina Coil reviews?
Hey all, My doctor wants to put me on the merina coil and I am feeling really unsure about it. She wants to stop my periods - i have moderate endometriosis (two large cysts on each ovary and my womb is stuck to the back of my uterus) I'm only 24, so they don't want to do any surgery on me yet, and

Has anyone else’s OCD tried to convince them that they’re a murderer or that they’ve played some part in a persons death? My OCD keeps latching onto actual murders in real life and blaming me or trying to convince me that I did it. Any tips?

What is the best diagnosis and management?
Hi everyone, hope you are all well. How effective are the different diagnosis tools for endo? I currently have a 'potential' diagnosis of endo based on symptom pattern and a pelvic ultrasound whereby the transvaginal scan showed reduced movement of the ovary on one side compared to the other. I would

RLS flare from IUD?
I’m having an awful flare right now. I’m wondering if it is related to the removal of my IUD (Mirena)? I had to get it removed because it caused unending pain for five months. But now that it’s gone, I’m having this intense flare up and I don’t know what to do. Help

Copper. Oil and endometriosis
I’ve recently had the copper coil insterted under reccomendation from my doctor. The pain after having it fitted seems a lot lot worse than it was before it was fitted. Struggling to manage the pain along with heavier bleeding? Had anyone else had the same problem? Looking for any help and support possible

Going for a second opinion?
So it’s been a while since I’ve been on here but since then I had a laparoscopy that was clear apparently. They originally did not want to put me in for a Lap but after months of E.R visits and asking for pain relief after the coil insertion they found a 5cm cyst on my ovary. They told me it was a the

Any experiences of full or partial hysterectomy?
Hi all I’m new to the forum and wondered if there’s anyone who has had a full or partial hysterectomy who is open to sharing their experiences? I’ve had endometriosis for the past 20 years and have had two previous surgeries. The coil gave me a few years break from the symptoms but they have since worsened

Cannot go on
Hello all I hope you are all coping better than myself. Not looking for sympathy or playing the victim card but I am at the end of my rope. Symptoms since Thursday - - extremely tired and cannot seem get rid of tiredness no matter how much I sleep. - pain when urinating deep inside as well as when passing

Mirena pain/discharge
I don't have an endo diagnosis but it is suspected and I have had the coil fitted today to help with the pain. Is it normal to have brown discharge/bleeding almost immediately after insertion (Less than 2 hours later)? Also, the fitting was extremely painful, especially the speculum being inserted/opened

Ectopic anxiety
I was informed a few months before my last
ICD
check up that I had ectopic beats. Not so great news as, you guessed it, anxiety set in and my sleep pattern was totally messed up. I accept that Covid has made me far more anxious at times.

What type of contraceptive is best with endometriosis?
I'm new here and need some advice. I've been advised by GP that I might have endometriosis after years of painful periods, following an unnecessary operation in October. They've prescribed me on Cerelle since November, and it hasn't done much different. I am on my period for a long period of time, and

Dienogest & Mirena
Hi ladies I'm after a bit of advice. I have stage 4 endo already had loads of surgeries ; bowel resection, uretic stents, stoma etc. The only further surgery the hospital will do is a total clearance and as I'm only 34 they won't consider that and I understand that the risk of doing so are quite high
