Smart Watches and ICD/Pacemakers
Just seen some online articles warning about potential interference but smart watches on
icd
/pacemakers. I haven't been warned about this by any medical staff at any point, only about the usual with mobile phones and scanners at airports etc.

Quick Poll: if you had to choose between not driving or not cooking what would it be? This is a heart related question!!
àny future VT shocks from the
ICD
and I can't use our induction hob for cooking unless I grow 2 ft (60 cm!)

EV-ICD
Hello, I'm having an EV-
ICD
fitted in a couple of weeks. 51 years old. Does anyone have any experience of the procedure and recovery and then how things are after getting used to it?

Consultant news
Hey allAfter having DCM for 3 years and going through so many tests, getting an
ICD
fitted and meetings with the transplant team. I had my delayed meeting with my consultant on Thursday. I have been signed off from the transplant team and the ablation I had has helped.

15% Ejection fraction and feel well.
I have been diagnosed with HOCM for 35 years and have an
ICD
. I really can’t believe I feel well and the ef is so low. Does anyone else have such a low measurement and still feel well?

Can you have “attacks” when in persistent/constant afib?
I’m not even sure that question makes any sense… we are still trying to sort out what are “afib symptoms” and what isn’t after my husband’s dual lead
ICD
operation in February this year which if it didn’t trigger afib certainly triggered a whole host of symptoms such as breathlessness, uncontrollable

Sleeping with an ICD device
My partner has been offered an
ICD
device but is uncertain whether to go ahead, he is worried about a few things related to the device, but impact on sleeping with the device is one of them. If you have an implanted device how have you found sleeping since you have had it?

ICD implant
I have CPVT but just recently I have had a
ICD
implant because I was getting 7 second intermitting pauses in my heart rhythm. Does anyone else fell the little pulses? They don't hurt at all but make me aware of my heart rhythm. Do they eventually settle down. Thank you

Wellue ecg newbie - we finally have some data and now I am curious
From the Wellue ECG after doing a day-time and a night-time trace for 5 days I have the following stats: - Recording total time of 57.3h - Pulse, min 39 (the
ICD
paces at 40), max 106 but truly that was once, mostly max is peaking at 80ish.

Kardia 6L subscription service benefits?
I am monitored at a low level or after the event yet to happen level by my general hospital EP's , from a two lead
ICD
device remote report at three months. This is a desk job without face to face contact or even guaranteed feedback.
