My new normal
He's given me gabapentin, hydrocodone,
ibuprofen
and two injections. They took x-rays, which showed I had sciatica, which I knew when I walked in the door. The deal is that supposedly this will go away on its own. It almost always does, they say.

It’s so painful, Dr keeps telling me to just rest (easier said than done as I work retail) and take
ibuprofen
, still I’m in so much pain with it. Right in the middle of my chest and under my right breast.

3 weeks on from lap: period, crap stitches, low mood, ups and downs etc
Yesterday I did a massive all-day meeting in London (2 hour train ride away from where I live) which went well, but I've noticed I seem to get cramping in response to over-exertion, and needed some
ibuprofen
to keep me going through the day.

New Worries
I'm taking
ibuprofen
in high doses, but it barely helps. I have taken codeine for years because of my OA but it doesn't touch the pmr. I can feel my mood slowly sinking already. I apologise if this is in the wrong place, but maybe the mods can move it to a better place.

Research on Ibuprofen and other NSAIDs
Hi https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25260945 Following a question raised earlier this week regarding possible problems associated with taking
Ibuprofen
(a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug) and AFib, I came across a very interesting piece of research that can be accessed through the above link

May take some
ibuprofen
to help. Other than that, I enjoyed my run in the evening sun ☀️ Still can’t believe I’m doing it👟👟

Extended break
However after daily paracetamol and
ibuprofen
for 4 weeks and no real improvement, I went to have a sports massage last week. I've had them before, but this was someone else, recommended by a friend who is a serious runner (unlike me).

I honestly don’t know. *Trigger warning*
In the past hour, I’ve been pondering about how to tell my parents this and I found that I can spend the rest of my week just being reckless and carefree about anything and on my last day, I can take a handful of
ibuprofen
and call 911 “pretending” that I tried to commit suicide and regret it.

Ibuprofen and infertility
But just today I read that
ibuprofen
can affect women's fertility and I had a little panic. So I started my period when I was 11 years old and when I was a teenager I had unbearable period pain. So I must admit each month I took
ibuprofen
. Not huge amounts, but enough to help with the pain.

I Gave up Cigs
If they bother me at all now, I can take
Ibuprofen
and it works. I have even successfully taken 50mg of Diphenhydramine to help me sleep (oxymoron, huh?). I’m still on Mirapex and plan on going forward with that until something changes. I hope all are having a good day!!

What options do I have left?
In the last year or so, I have tried: The mini pill, the combined pill, prostrap (I don't know how to spell it), zoladex, naproxen, tranexamic acid, paracetamol,
ibuprofen
. Hormone treatments do not agree with my body and painkillers have no effect.
