Hello, I have been on
Ibrutinib
3 tablets of 180mg every day for 3 years, on a trial ,having previously had 2 infusions of various drugs which didn't work. The treatment seems to work well with few side effects accept the odd joint pain and a lot of itching which no one seems to be able to fix.

Side effects. Itchy skin
I have been on
Ibrutinib
for 3 years and most of that time my skin has been unbareably itchy . I was on two previous infusion trials which didn't work but this one is good with Lymphosites down to 9 from hundreds. I have occasional join pains mainly shoulders but they only last for 2 or3 days.

Ibrutinib and weight gain?
So I've been on
ibrutinib
for about 16 months and doing very well. However, I've gained 7 pounds! Trying to figure out how much of this is due to the drug itself, and how much is due to the fact that I just feel so much better that my appetite is up? Or can it be both?

Ibrutinib resistance mutations often arise early, suggesting potential as a cue for alternative therapy
[i]Mutations in two genes often occurred months before relapse of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) treated with
ibrutinib
(Imbruvica), suggesting potential as a cue for alternative therapy, according to a retrospective review of four clinical trials.

There is an informal paper from ASH 2015, where the question was asked “What happens when CLL Patients stop taking

How Ibrutinib works over time
Wiestner and his team not only did some of the earliest clinical research on
ibrutinib
, but also has been doing the bench science on exactly how it works and its impact changes over time. Please enjoy the interview here: http://cllsociety.org/2017/02/ash-2016-wiestner-

Celebrating a special 3 year anniversary

ibrutinib
in the USA that changed the whole treatment landscape in CLL, so I thought I would reflect on all the progress that has taken place in the treatment of our disease during this time frame and all the issues that still

Muscle pain on Ibrutinib
Has anyone else experienced muscle pain and stiffness on
Ibrutinib
? I started it as frontline treatment back in October and have been sailing along without any problems. Once or twice when my water intake was not adequate I did get cramping.

Starting Ibrutinib plus Venetoclax Trial at MDA
From what I really know now I will be taking
Ibrutinib
for 4 months then keep taking
Ibrutinib
and dose escalate on the VEN for 5 weeks. I'm pretty sure I'll be taking both on this trial indefinitely but not totally sure. I live in Kansas so I will be doing a lot of traveling to MDA for 2 years.
