Acalabrutinib & Proton Pump Inhibitors
Hi Everyone - I have been struggling on and off with
Ibrutinib
side effects the main ones being uncontrolled blood pressure spikes, anxiety attacks and palpatations which come out of nowhere and seemingly for no reason. All have been thoroughly investigated including having an angiogram.

Have Relapsed From FCR and looking for best choice for Round Two
I had heard so much about
Ibrutinib
I was waiting for it to be approved to avoid chemo.. Didnt make it so settled for FCR. Took four rounds of FCR but was told I had to stop because I was needing transfusions every second day. I had AIHA.

Ibrutinib at 1 month
Hi, So it has been a month and 2 days since I started
Ibrutinib
. My ONC first had me take just 2 pills daily for the first two weeks, the intention was to gauge the side effects to see if I could handle the medication.

Mantel Cell Lymphomia
The doctors say they want to put him on
Ibrutinib
as soon as possible, before he develops any symptoms. We are awaiting scan results to see if the cancer has come back or spread anywhere else. The doctor also says that his spleen might start to enlarge.

Chemo Might Be Next
I asked her why I wasn't going to try
ibrutinib
etc. She said I didn't have the mutation. Not sure what that meant. Can anyone explain that? Will meet with her in January and then get information to make appt at the Center.

Road to a BMT... oops just got there
Last time you heard from me/us was when my husband Mark began failing on
Ibrutinib
in Feb. 2017 and he was going to start Venetoclax and we went through quite the ordeal as his CLL wanted no part of it and it took us at least 3 weeks to finally get a response.

When will I need treatment? Is Watch and Wait still the best option with newer treatments?
My approach is that with
ibrutinib
, we know 80% of the population will do exceeding well with single agent
ibrutinib
. Some high risk features (deletion 17p) predicts for patients doing less well with
ibrutinib
.

Sex Life
My partner has just started
Ibrutinib
/Imbruvica, he's been on it for a week so far. Will this impact on our sex life? Do we need to take extra precautions? Condoms? Will his sex drive be diminished? I know that he will be anxious about this.

Waiting for Acalabrutinib
After 100 days of
ibrutinib
with wonderful results Atrial Fibrillation is ruining it. A-Fib has been controlled with Diltiazem but my Doctor feels that it’s best to stop the
ibrutinib
and try to get Acalabrutinib approved which supposedly similar but does not usually include the A-fib side effect.
