Response and Survival Rates for FCR and Ibrutinib
The conclusion was that
Ibrutinib
is probably the best first line drug in terms of response and survival measures.

Ibrutinib - 4 months in (FLAIR)
Neutropils now at 1.5 (I though they would only go up to 1.2 because of the
Ibrutinib
), everything else on the up as well. What a wonderful drug.

Info needed
I know when you have fcr your immune system is destroyed and infections are a great concern, but if you don’t have fcr and go onto the
ibrutinib
trials is your immune system affected in same way and if so is it affected for all the time your taking the tablets?

Update but still not ibrutinib
NHS England are due to publish the results of thier review on
Ibrutinib
, but that's still not happened. The trial drug also is still not available. In the meantime I was due in clinic today. However since Friday I have been running a temperature, unable to stay awake, sweats and headaches.

CAR T-Cell Developments in Lymphoma Dr. Ian Flinn Highlights
. - One last publication to think about is the data we've seen involving Waldenström macroglobulinemia where rituximab was compared with the combination of
ibrutinib
(Imbruvica) and rituximab.

Dr. Wiestner on Resistance and Stan Kurtz's amazing swim for leukemia.
Adrian Wiestner from the NIH concerning
ibrutinib
and venetoclax resistance. Dr. Wiestner thinks deeply about what this implies about treatment. See: http://cllsociety.org This Saturday night, Sunday morning is Stan Kurtz’s amazing 22 mile swim for leukemia. Patty and I will be on the boat.

Stopping Ibrutinib
Took a left over
Ibrutinib
and the hives disappeared over night.. literally. After 4 days they came back again, and again another
Ibrutinib
pill made them disappear. Has anyone else experienced this? Seems like a crazy immune response to the lack of the drug.

Medical update with no Ibrutinib
As you know I was denied
Ibrutinib
as I was in remission for 3.8 years and NHS England put a cap at 3 years before relapse. Anyway I've been really struggling and I saw the consultant on Tuesday and he got me in today for the first of 3 strong dosage IV Steriods.

Maybe side effect after 2 weeks on Ibrutinib?
So I posted this morning that I just hit two weeks on
Ibrutinib
with no side effects. Now last night I had a beer I'd never had before and I didn't like it and didn't finish it.

A simple outline of the FLAIR study is available at the following link (but note that the
Ibrutinib
plus rituxamab arm because it opened first has now closed as they have already recruited enough patients) https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/about-cancer/find-a-clinical-trial/a-trial-

Concern about another cancer
On trial of
Ibrutinib
and venetoclax for 3 months. Very concerned because I got called to have a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound after my routine mammogram. Is it common to have another cancer with Cll. Thank you
