Ibrutinib V Venetoclax + Rituximab
I am being offered either
Ibrutinib
or Venetoclax +Rituximab. My consultant favours the the latter (V+R) and I will probably go with his recommendation. Do any of you out there have any views or advice to give...I would be pleased to hear from you. Many thanks.

Changing treatment
Could not take full dose of
Ibrutinib
because of side effects. Switched to Acalabrutinib but disease not controlled. Now taking obenituzimab to lower white blood cell count in preparation for Venetoclax. Has anyone else gone through this?

Ibrutinib - Joint Pain
I am also aware that joint pain is a common side effect of
Ibrutinib
, but I have been fine up until the last few months. I suppose that maybe my journey with
Ibrutinib
is coming to an end, thoughts?

After Rixtuximab and Bendamustine - what next???
I just wondered if the recovery is that much slower on these two drugs than it was on
Ibrutinib
. His white blood lymphocytes are very low, and I don't know if this will rise to become a bit more stable as he recovers.

Report from CLL Webinar: Prof Hillmen, 10th June 2020
This drives targeted treatments such as
ibrutinib
, which disrupt cell signalling, thereby promoting cell death. [
Ibrutinib
blocks Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK), a vital component of B cell receptor signaling.

Worried!!
I had to come off
Ibrutinib
after just 7 weeks. Not feeling too bad at the moment but could do with a bit more energy 😊

Shingles and cll
I have been on
ibrutinib
since aug 2019 and now that things have opened up a bit my sister was going to come for a visit. Only problem is she now has shingles. If we eat outside and she uses the downstairs washroom are we ok?

Any tips on moving house safely?
I am new here but have been taking
Ibrutinib
and Venetoclax for 18 months on the UK Flair clinical trial. I have been shielding since 18th March. For personal reasons I have decided to move house and wondered if anyone had any experience/suggestions on how to minimise the risks posed by Covid 19?

Hope for Spread of CLL to Central Nervous System
I was also started on high-dose
ibrutinib
. End of the story is a very happy one. My vision is now near normal and I'm in a stable remission. I feel great. A medical journal article was published on my case recently.

Ibrutinib
. Afib got a lot worse and then chest pain that I’d never experienced before. Put on blood thinner, Xarelto and taken off

How does NHS treatment compare with elsewhere?
I'm on watch and wait and was looking at the CLL support website, according to which you're likely to get
ibrutinib
here after other treatments don't work.

Ibrutinib is not working any more
Hello everybody, my mom has been taking 3 capsules
Ibrutinib
a day since June 2018. After a few months the neutrophils dropped and according to the doctor this depended on
Ibrutinib
. That's why from November 2019 she switched to two capsules a day.

My Ibrutinib/venetoclax journey
Save you checking back (my journey is documented in previous posts), relapsed 3-4Q16, signed up to CLARITY trial and started
Ibrutinib
on 14/3/17, added Venetoclax on 10/4/17, stopped both 8/6/18 as I had hit the targets set.

Hiccups?
My husband's SLL did not respond adequately to
Ibrutinib
and he is being transitioned to Obinutuzumab infusions for 6 months and starting Venetoclax orally in a month. He just finished his first 2 high dose infusions as inpatient at the VA. He now has horrible hiccups.
