Here we go again, Flu Shot Thoughts
Been on initial treatment
ibrutinib
since May 2020. Labs are good, ANC 4.2, WBC 8, iGG 450, ALC 6.2. Thinking do I get regular dose flu shot, or regular dose flu shot repeated by another regular dose flu shot two weeks afterwards, or high dose flu shot.

Ibrutinib to acalabrutinib
It's my understanding blood thinners and either
ibrutinib
/acalabrutinib isn't wise. My oncologist is very well known and trains other oncologists about blood cancers and I've had confidence in him but I'm shaken now. I guess I don't even know what I'm looking for in reaching out.

Second-Generation BTK Inhibitors Hit the Treatment Bullseye With Fewer Off-Target Effects
Tam noted that most AEs happen with zanubrutinib during the first year on treatment, before their incidence plateaus, whereas prolonged treatment with
ibrutinib
has a greater chance of inflicting cumulative damage to the vascular system.

On ibrutinib, great numbers but FATIGUE
I’m 47, on
Ibrutinib
for 17 months (initially with Rituxan) and was incredibly fortunate to have my numbers back in totally normal range within a few months. I only missed ~2 months work despite being diagnosed Stage IV. Very few/minor/easily resolved side effects. Count my blessings daily.

Can taking Bactrim make you neutropenic?
My husband has been on
Ibrutinib
for 2 years now, and has taking Bactrim and Acyclovir along with it. Up until four months ago, his numbers have been in the more normal range. He feels well, and had a good CT scan in June.

CLL - rare brain complications
He had heart spasms in reaction to the lumbar chemo and got moved onto
Ibrutinib
. Which apparently he’s just going to carry on taking till it works or doesn’t . Two months or so down the line - it just feels like it’s all getting worse because of the asphasia and it’s all a bit much.

Insect bites - swelling
I have recently started
Ibrutinib
last month and an insect bite close to my ankle has caused swelling. Does anyone else have in issue with swelling due to insect bites? Will this go away over time or is it necessary to let the medical team know?

Should I Start Acalabrutinib Now or Later
Oncologist prescribed two
Ibrutinib
140mg oral capsules daily. At the time I felt OK with some swelling in my lymph nodes and some fatigue, so I declined. Now I feel more fatigue with pronounced swollen lymph nodes on the right-side groin area only, the other lymph nodes have some swelling.
