NICE Recommends Acalabrutinib for treating CLL for certain groups
The results of an indirect comparison with
ibrutinib
are uncertain. The company assumed that acalabrutinib was as effective as
ibrutinib
in the cost‑minimisation analyses. Despite the uncertainty, acalabrutinib is likely to be cost saving compared with
ibrutinib

Update re cataract surgery
She advised me to stop
ibrutinib
10 days before my cataract surgery and 2 days post op. I also asked if I could have the AstraZeneca vaccination and she said that will be ok for me. Originally she had told me at our last consultation not to go ahead with it as she needed more information about it.

Ublituximab plus ibrutinib versus ibrutinib alone for patients with relapsed or refractory high-risk chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (GENUINE)
The aim of this study was to assess the benefit of adding ublituximab, an anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody, to
ibrutinib
therapy in this population. 126 patients were enrolled and randomly assigned to receive ublituximab plus
ibrutinib
(n=64) or
ibrutinib
alone (n=62) between Feb 6, 2015, and Dec 19, 2016

Serum alkaline phosphatase
I have been on Co-codamol for some painful joints (on
Ibrutinib
as well which causes pain in joints). So is a result of 188 significant, does it signify anything specific? (yet to get an appointment to discuss results). BTW, I do not drink and have a fairly healthy diet. Thanks

Possible Side-Effect of Ibrutinib
I've been on
Ibrutinib
for a month now - no other side effects and no signs of jaundice, which is my first thought. I was just wondering if anyone else had had this symptom and what happened. Kind Regards, Steve - Zentangle

Restarting Venetoclax?
I started on
Ibrutinib
early June 2000 and was then taken off
Ibrutinib
for October/November as there was a concern that the
Ibrutinib
was irritating my lungs. I was put back on
Ibrutinib
in December and then had 5 x 2 night stays in hospital as they ramped up my Venetoclax to 400mg.

ibrutinib it is expensive?
When CLL people need treatment mostly are taking
ibrutinib
which is good medicine but I am wondering to check its price. We live in Canada and we are immigrants from SE Asia.

Ibrutinib/Imbruvia and low antibody
The NYTimes article cited Imbruvica and low antibody reading, but it's information was sparse. Does Imbruvica reduce response or do people who need Imbruvica have lower responses? Does anyone know?

IBRUTINIB AND HIP PAIN
IBRUTINIB
AND HIP PAIN: First, I want to say that since
Ibrutinib
is such a miraculous drug, many people want to stay on it. The hip pain needs work throughout the day, but can be mitigated or eliminated.

Having to re-sign for the FLIAR trial as Ibrutinib producing high than expected blood pressure
The local FLAIR organiser just phoned say that the FLAIR trial is finding that
Ibrutinib
is giving more people higher blood pressure that predicted (above 10%), and I have to re-sign the FLAIR agreement.

RLS and CLL
I am currently in a clinical trial for CLL, taking
Ibrutinib
and Obinutuzumab, and I am wondering if anyone else in this community shares my situation dealing with RLS (an incurable syndrome) and the drugs treat and mistreat it. I apologize for not putting my earlier request in context.
